A group of Kenyan Muslims travelling on a bus ambushed by Islamist gunmen protected Christian passengers by refusing to be split into groups, according to eyewitnesses.

They told the militants "to kill them together or leave them alone", a local governor told Kenyan media.

 

That's amazing, brave, and very commendable. The Muslims who did this are real heroes in my book. Thanks for posting this. I have always maintained that you have to separate the ideology and the people. These people are great people, no matter how problematic the ideology is - since it also did breed the Islamist gunmen on the other side of the guns.

Yeah this isn't really a good thing about islam, it is more about people looking after other people no matter what their religion is.

 

I just found out today Muslims aren't allowed to have dogs as pets. If they touch a dog they have to wash the part that touched the dog 7 times and one time with soil, but if there isn't soil available then they can use soap.

 

I'm not a muslim, either.

Very good point. On the flip side, all Christians know about original sin. People don't do bad stuff because they're Muslim: they do it because of original sin. Unfortunately, some people are going to hell. God set it up that way. Praise Creation! (I mean, that's what they say.)

Here's a muslim woman with something to say. I've smashed so many who've said the same in private.

Got the men seething that she dared to voice an original opinion.

Was subsequently arrested and had to flee the country.

And that's all you need to know.

Every piece of literature will have some nice lines, some bad ones, some common sense, some stupidity. It's how the masses react and respond to it that dictate it's relevance.

Say NO to moderates that enable a stone age mentality.

If that is how we view America when we tried to destroy the Nazi's, sure.

 

This is not true at all. There is no rule forbidding Muslims from having dogs as pets. That's just a recommendation of ass-backwards imams who haven't taken their face out of the koran and the mosque for years. Dogs would regularly roam and come into the first mosque in history which was attached to Muhammad's house and whoever told you this non sense can look it up in the hadith regardless of which sect they follow.

Further, the cleanliness issue is directly related to a dog's saliva and it doesn't mean you have to wash that part 7 times bla bla bla it just means you have to wash up before you pray.

It's a pretty f'ing good idea to wash dog saliva off your hands before your hands touch your face when you live in the barren sweaty desert with starving dogs don't you think? Dogs will eat poop when they starve, that's the main reason.

 

Some dogs will eat cat poop like it is a delicacy even with a full food dish 10 feet from the litter box.

Never saw my dog do that but I've heard it's common.

Makes sense then that if you have to wash up to pray if you even burp or fart that you would also do so if you get stray dog saliva on you 1300 years ago.

 

I had a dog I had to secure the litter box from. Disgusting.

 

I just learned about the Shia and Sunni differences. As trivial and petty as it sounds it did create 1400 years of bloodshed among particular Muslims of each denomination. But if you trash a Muslim person or any person of their 'World' that they grew up in and were indoctrinated in you destroy them. Just like a long time indoctrinated Western Chrisitian. Just avoid bring it up. One thing I know about Abrahamic believers is that they don't consider lost or revised texts nor the true origins to their beliefs. Better just leave alone or avoid them if they become a danger to you.

 

So a renegade monk tied to terrorist group 666 does these things and you think all of the Buddhist World condones it?
