I'm not a fan of the typical SUV body style so I'm leaning towards getting a Ford Flex. It's about the only thing in the class that doesn't look like every other SUV out there. Anybody have a Flex? Happy/Unhappy with it? Any other suggestions for a 3-row hauler that you are happy with?
Friends have one and they love it. It holds a lot of people and stuff. It rides like a minivan more than a SUV.
I feel like if you need a 3'row sub you have some definitive needs to fill. We did and that's how we ended up with what we have. Our needs were 3 rows 2nd row bucket/captain chairs with walkway thru the middle to the back Those 2nd row seats slide and lock in multiple positions to allow for more room in the 3rd row or 2nd row as we see fit AWD option 3rd row 60/40 split Maximize cargo space with all rows up and with all rows down Ideal include DVD player system built in When we looked at all that our options were either Toyota Sequoia or Sienna (minivan). Said no to the minivan and got a used Sequoia. It has the most cargo space excluding suburbans. It's a fine car. But they're all more expensive than they should be and the minivan is really your best bang for the buck except it's a minivan!
Thanks Rockbox and Bobrek. So far that is +2 on the Flex. Anybody with any bad experiences on a Flex? I also like Ford being the only US automaker that didn't take the government bailout.
Ford lobbied for TARP even though they didn't ultimately receive anything for their operating expenses like GM and Chrysler did. Plus they got a low interest $6 billion gov't loan. Not that this really matters, but just sayin'...
Haymitch beat me to it. But I love how people say this (even people I work with) as their reason to buy a Ford.
