I heard his name linked to the Rockets. Do you think he'll fit? Another LA native to make Harden happy.
I thought I read before he got injured that he suddenly started playing good defense consistently. Am I remembering that correctly? Not sure. Not a bad option but I'm not sure he'd be better than Lawson. I don't think any of them play well off the ball, but at least Lawson is a great 3pt shooter and scorer, while Jennings might be a better passer. I think we're looking for more off ball scoring and Jennings brings none of that.
He's not from overseas with a name we can barely pronounce. So you can imagine why ppl here don't want him
Jennings is a much more aggressive player than Lawson, he doesn't struggle for confidence. He also played next to Brandon Knight for a season or two
techniclaly it makes sense for both teams. fits the system a lot better here than ty, and isnt scared to death to shoot a wide poen three. can rack up assists, as can ty but w/e and the pistons have too many shooters. he'll be reduced to a 15mpg backup once meeks is healthy. plus they got old man steve blake and spencer dum dee dum dinwiddie as backup pgs. but who would they want in return to make salaries match? they dont want more role players they're stacked with those.
dont want him. not cuz i think he sucks, but cuz a pf/c rotation of dwight, dmo and capella with spot minutes to ariza and harrel is a lot better than having a 4th big to backup dmo. this is all assuming the twin tower lineup of dmo and and dwight works out. if it doesnt then there's no point in adding markieff. should be clearing cap space
Kinda wish the OP would name a source, even if it's Chris Sheri-DUHn. These rumors can float out of the ether. It would be a decent gamble; isn't Jennings an expiring? Sets us up to go after you-know-who in the summer, and when we don't get him, we either re-sign Jennings or cajole Llull again (whose buyout will supposedly be less than it is now, but I'm not holding my breath on any of this).
And he played next to monta ellis (whose has a higher usage than harden 8n his career) nd also put up his best season playing alongside monta. Im all for jennings coming to houston.
Yes, he's an expiring and possible fit. I've never liked him on a long-term deal. But as an expiring with his offensive skill set, this could be lightning in a bottle. The huge drawback to him right now is he's coming off the Achilles. That type of injury typically takes a year before a player is 100%. He looked decent in that d-league, actually like a man playing with kids. But I don't take much out of that. Still, with his skill set, he'd be a much better fit with Harden and backing up Harden than Lawson can ever be.
I don't see a trade that makes sense. Don't see the Pistons beeing interested in Lawson. If the Suns can dump Markieff for Jennings As Hollic hintes, I think they would, no need to add the Rockets to that scenario. Jennings is expiring, fits in the Suns system and they aren't afraid to run a 3 man guard rotation. Right now the Suns have Price getting 15mpg, I'm sure they wouldn't mind Jennings taking that while he recovers.
