If Klay had handles and attacked the basket like Harden then he'd be up there but to me he is just a 3-D type player.

So how does this salty tear flow go?

Curry is overrated. Biut Klay is so good as he's playing with superstar Curry?

Harden is chucking and leading an awful team, but somehow his uberfantastic stats are the defining point. Also, why are last years stats relevant about who is currently the best SG? Does this mean that if Curry breaks a leg he's still the best PG in the league considering his past games?

    Get real.

We definitely suck. And anyone denyong reality that GSW is wrecking the league needs to get serious help.

Delusional heroworship leads to all these frustrations.

And Klay is an arrogant SOB. But he can play.

Until Harden starts to commit to being a winner, meaning playing defense and buy into ball and body movement more, I think Klay as the best SG is not that far fetched as seem to think.

    Oh really?
    - Its Harden and not the fact that we are the fourth worst rebounding team in the league?
    - Its Harden and not Corey Brewer and Trevor Ariza chucking up 10 3s a game at 33% and 28% respectively.
    - Its Harden and not the fact that we have only 2 players who have managed a positive offensive + / - .
    - Its Harden and not the fact that we have only 2 players who have managed a positive defensive + / - .
    - Its Harden and not the fact that we have only 3 players who have a positive base + / -
    - Its Harden and not the fact that our new prized backup PG has had about 3 good games in the 26 he has played in.
    - Its Harden and not the fact that we are the 27th best free throw shooting team in the league?
    - Its Harden and not Dmo turning the ball over EVERY THIRD TIME HE TOUCHES THE BALL.
    - Its Harden and the fact that Dmo, Howard, Jones and Beverley have already missed 5+ games.

No, I think you are right. Its probably the guy who has missed no games and is averaging 29 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds, 2 steals a game on great efficiency. Thats clearly the MAJOR PROBLEM WE ARE HAVING.

You are considering nothing but your garbage bias which clouds any semblence of objectivity you might have.

And LOL at you STILL trying to push this narrative that Harden is turnover prone. Harden's turnovers are right in the middle of his high usage peers. Its like you care nothing for actual facts.

    TOV%
    Russel Westbrook: 17.3%
    James Harden: 15.6%
    Paul George: 14.2%
    Steph Curry: 14.1%
    Kevin Durant: 13.2 %
    Lebron James: 13.7%
    John Wall: 19.2%
    Jrue Holiday: 16.7%
    Eric Bledsoe : 16.0%
    Kyle Lowry: 13.6%
    Damian Lillard: 13.2%

It could not be more clear. Its not even debatable. Its beyond laughable. Nothing will sway you. You have the idea firmly in your head and will spend the the rest of your days trying to find ways to make it true.

Klay Thompson isn't Robin, he is Alfred. And for the record, Alfred falls behind Batman, Robin, Batgirl, Nightwing, and Commissioner Gordon.

He is sixth on his own team in WS / 48
He is seventh on his team in Base Plus / Minus
He is second on his team in Offensive Plus / Minus
He is TWELVE on his team in Defensive Plus / Minus
He is ninth on his team in offensive rating
He is TWELVE on his team in defensive rating

Oh and in case you were wondering where Harden stood when he was in his final year in OKC:

He is second on his own team in WS / 48
He is second on his team in Base Plus / Minus
He is first on his team in Offensive Plus / Minus
He is ninth on his team in Defensive Plus / Minus
He is first on his team in offensive rating
He is tenth on his team in defensive rating

Klay Thompson is everything that he can be, which is the 4th or 5th best player on championship team.

My ****ing lord, you have no idea when to quit.

    Just a few factoids here:
    - Klay Thompson takes an exactly 50/50 split of 3 point shoots to 2 pointers. - Of those 14 shots he takes a game, 8 of them are catch and shoot, which means someone created it for him. You know how many Harden gets? 3.4.
    - 10 of his 14 shots, required zero dribbles
    - 2.5 of his 14 shots, required just one or two dribbles.
    - Only 1.5 of his shots actually require him to dribble the ball towards the basket.
    - 8.8 of his 14 shots are OPEN or WIDE OPEN.

The guy that shoots nothing but wide open shots and doesn't have to dribble the ball has slightly higher efficiency than Harden? THE HELL YOU SAY!?

But please, do tell us more of the wonders of Klay Thompson.

All the guys who diss Klay for saying this. You do realize Harden said he's the best player on the planet? James Harden, the man who is too stupid to learn and too lazy to play defense. The man who has to play 40mpg and needs the ball in his hands 99% of the time to produce a 27 6 6 stat sheet, with **** percentages. The so called best offensive player in the game who has 3 offensive moves and 10 acting moves. The man who is doing his best to alienate his teammates. The man who is addicted to strip clubs. The man who has a disgusting taste in women. The man who supports the Kardashians, the world's most easily identifiable absolute evil.
And you talk about the Warriors being the dark side...

Agreed. Klay instead of Harden would've led us past the Warriors last season and beaten LeBron in the finals. Amirite?

I am open to the thought that Thompson is better. I don't think Harden is as good as some folks think.

    Compare them to each other:

    Klay ws/48- .164
    Harden ws/48- .183

    Klay ORtg/ drtg- 114/105
    Harden ORtg/ drtg- 111/107

    Klay OBPM- 3.0
    Harden OBPM- 6.1

Harden better on the plus minus, klay better on ORtg.

Defense there isn't a good stat for as Morey has said, but Klay is obviously much better there.

The fact is Harden was FAR better than Klay last year, but isn't that much better this year, and by some measures is worse.

Also, the way Harden plays (ball stopping, passing it to guarded teammates with the clock running down, terrible turnovers that lead to fast breaks, not getting back on D) are things that dont necessarily show up in the box.

If Klay gets more shots off the ball...so what? They have a system based on ball movement. I don't really see that as a negative.

#1 problem for the Rockets is getting Harden back into playing like he was previous to this year, when he was arguably as good as Curry, Bron and Kawhi. Not neck and neck with Klay Thompson.

I guess this is supposed to be a negative. But it's good that he can move off the ball and hit spot up jumpers.

But is he a creator? No, definitely not

That is an entirely different argument from what you said.

    Harden last year:
    ws/48- .265
    ORtg/drtg- 118/103
    Obpm- 7.4

I don't think Klay will ever reach those numbers, however I'm wondering when Harden will again

I'm talking about this year only.

    Last year obviously he was.
