From what the rumors sound like, we're looking for 1. A PF on a decent contract who can replace Jones (Markieff Morris) 2. A guard who can take on playmaking duties whilst able to play off-ball (Jarrett Jack / Lou Williams) 3. A bench shooting spark (Bojan Bogdanovic / Nick Young) Could a playoff rotation like this get the job done? Or do we still have some holes to fill? Beverley / Jack OR Williams / Terry Harden / Thornton Ariza / Bogdanovic OR Young / McDaniels Motiejunas / Morris / Harrell Howard / Capela I think Lawson would be happier to be sent off to Brooklyn. Gets complete control over the offense and can rebuild his resume in a contract year, whereas in LAL he'll be part of that crapshow rotation Scott is running. Bojan is a young talent so I'm sure we'd have to send over Dekker and a pick to get BKN to bite. Jack would be a solid playmaker, a reliable vet. I'm not too keen on picking up an undersized chucker and Swaggy P whom are both on the books for 3 years.
If we are able to nab Morris, Jack and Bogdanobic that would be excellent. I have always wanted Jack on this team. Excellent defender, underrated scorer and is a great teammate.
Looking at our rotations. I don't see any room for a wing player, even if we do dump Brewer. Harden plays 36+ minutes, Ariza will get 30+ minutes, Thornton deserves 20+ minutes, if we trade for a decent PG like Calderon, Williams, Jack that means Beverley will be playing 5+ minutes at SG. Then we have Terry who can play backup SG, and KJ who can play backup SG/SF, and once Dekker is healthy he will be on the reserves. Add in with Dmo, Jones Howard and Capela healthy, there is no room for small ball either to open up minutes for the wings. We also have Harrell that can step in if someone gets injured. So even if we dump Brewer and Jones for Morris, there will be no minutes on the wings at all. So Jones for a PF, dump Brewer and Lawson for a PG and our roster and rotations would be pretty even. If we could get a 3rd string center as a fuller in case a big man goes down that would be a bonus. So perhaps Williams and Sacre for Lawson instead of adding in Young.
Are you talking about Lou Williams from the Lakers? You're going to have to throw in Harrell for that.
It's not the end of the world if we simply let Jones walk in free agency. Keep in mind the team receiving Jones will only have him for a half season rental if they don't have plans to sign him. Jones is being used a trade throw-in loosely but I'd imagine there are only a few teams that would take him since he is a question mark hitting the free agency amidst a rising cap.
*IF he could shoot. Career 32% 3 point shooter (on just 1.3 attempts per game) This year 12.7% from downtown. Last year 33% (on 1.5 attempts) 2 years back 30.8% (on 3.7 attempts) Our current PFs both shoot better, and are on an upwards trend with their 3pt shooting.
They shoot better 3 pointers but in career TS% it goes TJones, Young, then DMo or in eFG% it's DMO then followed by a tied Young and Jones. Our wing and frontcourt could look like this: Ariza/Young Young/DMo/Capela/Ariza Howard/Capela/DMo Maybe Thad Young doesn't qualify as a "stretch 4" but he's definitely a tweener.

You probably watch basketball that's why you suggest this trade that includes 4 god awful players who don't play a sip of defense.
