Yes in the end it doesn't matter. We came into the season wanting to be a contender. Now I think the best we can get out of this season is a 2nd round appearance via somehow playing the choking Clippers again.
Why not then just stop watching the Rockets even on TV until you are sure that they are at least a 4th seed ?
i know this team likes to "turn it on" throughout the game, esp in the 4th, but that sht wont fly no more. their easiest stretch of the season and what looks like the past several years has just passed. if rockets keep half assing and decide to "turn it on" when they feel like it, they're headed straight to the lottery. still pissed they blew a golden oppurtunity to rack up 20+ wins. unbelievable
Winning streak has begun. Anyone ready to admit I am right yet? We got this easy, feigning death is all part of the strategy to get our opponents guard down.
I'm rooting as much as anyone that we turn it around, but the reality is that we've had the easiest schedule in the NBA so far and are still under .500. Our upcoming schedule is a monster. Well be very lucky to still be at or above .500 by the end of Jan. There is VERY little chance that we go as far as we did last year in the playoffs. In my opinion we need to get to the #5 seed to have a realistic shot at getting out of the 1st round. 6-8 are pretty much garnered lovers to go, spurs, and okc.
Every time it looks as if this team is ready to turn the corner they fall. They should have been on a nice long win streak after that Pelicans win but instead decided to drop games against **** teams. Good teams don't do that.
Lol, well I wouldn't put any real money on it... But if you're right kudos to you!!! I'm not one of the fans that wants the team to fail I'm just not feeling as confident as I was in August... This season and lack of effort have been a disappointment to say the least.
Calm Down? I an not interested in seeing my Rockets get rolled by 30 three times in 7 nights on TNT against the #2 Seed Spurs in Primetime. No, I won't calm down. The Van Gundy Rockets with no Yao and no TMac had half the talent and played twice as hard. Blue Collar. I could get behind those guys. If we lost, it was because the other teams were better than us.
I'm still a little concerned about where we're sitting at. To be 14-14 can be recoverable. But if the team's record includes being swept by Denver and Brooklyn, and we already have 7 losses at home, it's hard to imagine us ending up with a positive record. We are very fortunate that the West is a lot weaker this year. And teams like NO and Sacramento haven't figured it out yet.
I have to disagree. I will be the last fan to give up on this team! Never give up, never surrender! (seriously)
I am not giving up on this team. However, I would like those, who are having their lives ruined and continually whine because the Rockets might not be higher than a 5th seed, to give up at least on this forum so we can have some decent threads.
Winning streak will be at 4 by the end of the night. Got some serious clowns and doibters around here. Lets go Rox!
