If Murray leaves, I wonder if it costs Sumlin his job? I guess Sumlin should have picked a QB and just stuck with him all year. Reminds me of the Texans going back and forth between QB's.
Just saw that one of their WR recruits decommitted today...on his twitter account he retweeted the news about Murray...and then said he was decommitting a little while later. Is decommitting a word?
Sorry guys. This sucks. http://collegesports.blog.statesman.com/2015/12/16/is-kyler-murray-transferring-from-texas-am/ <blockquote class="twitter-video" lang="en"><p lang="fi" dir="ltr">Video: Kevin Sumlin on Kyler Murray: <a href="https://t.co/ibawiaaxKP">pic.twitter.com/ibawiaaxKP</a></p>— Brent Zwerneman (@BrentZwerneman) <a href="https://twitter.com/BrentZwerneman/status/677262258062290944">December 16, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
I'm sure he'll do great playing at Alabama as a 17 year old. He might even improve upon A&M's last result there, the 59-0 game!
I wish I knew why these guy are jumping ship. It could be several different reasons. I thought one of the two QB's would definitely transfer. But, both leaving doesn't make sense. Do they not like the OC? Maybe they do like the OC, and are upset hes's going to get fired? Maybe both QB's were unhappy that Sumlin couldn't decide who was the number one QB? Eventually, we'll find out what's going on. But Sumlin looks really bad right now. Aggies must want a new coach.
It's interesting to hear some of yall say yall want Sumlin gone seeing as how yalls program was irrelevant until he got there.
My understanding... Kyle Allen = Upset with how he was treated while injured, even more upset that Spavital is getting canned. Kyler Murray = Sumlin made significant promises to him during recruitment about PT that he either didn't or cannot fulfill, now with the offense changing Murray (or his dad, more likely) isn't happy. Supposedly Murray has been an entitled little s**t since his recruitment.
They still are irrelevant...only reason they were "relevant" for a year was because of Johnny. Pooorrrrrr aggiesssss
I don't really think Murray's transfer hurts them all that much on the field. Granted, there was an assumption that he was far from a finished product at this point in his career, but he didn't show all that much on the field, and too often, the drives in which he played QB often seemed to end in disaster. Where this hurts is in Sumlin's perception. It certainly can't help recruiting that two five-star quarterbacks have run away from the program as quickly as they can.
