huh? Nexus 5 came out around the same time at iPhone 5S. According to the reviews, there's negligible impact on performance on 5S with the latest iOS updates.

I'm talking about the iPhone I had before my Nexus 5 which was my iPhone 4. After a little more than a year of use, the updates slowed my phone's performance by a LOT. I switched to Android simply because of this and I've never looked back.

Jumped on the 6P with the price drop. Was having a hard time deciding between 5X, 6P, Moto X Pure, or LG4 as well.

Wanted to wait and see if Moto would release the Moto X Force in the states, but my Note 2 bricked itself on Monday, and I can't wait that long anymore.

Pass on the 5x. I'd pick the Moto X over the 5x any day of the week. The only reason to get the 5x is if you absolutely do not want a phablet. Otherwise the Moto X is the better buy between the two.

If you care about video recording then go straight for the Moto X because of the OIS. The 6p's software stabilization doesn't hold a candle to actual hardware stabilization.

If you're ok with potentially shaky video recording, then go with the 6p. The 6p is a damn good buy and a great phone. The lack of OIS didn't really hurt its camera performance for low light photos but it does hurt it when it comes to video recording. Plus direct google support for updates is a great perk.

folks getting the 6p definitely won't be disappointed. have had it for a bit over a month now. absolutely zero stutters.

the phone is praised for its low-light shots by folks that own the phone. it's irritating seeing so many folks post their pictures on reddit in r/nexus6p (there's picture threads for that), but haven't really seen anyone complain about night/low-light shots.

Solid deal. Only deal better I've seen as of recently is probably the 200 dollar nexus 6 and the 325 lg g4. Both of which were very limited time deals.

    Ok guys. Quick verdict.

    Nexus6P at $449.00 or Moto X at $349.00?

I love my moto X pure, especially after I put Nova launcher on it. They also released Marshmallow for it last week.

Damn I'm on that same debate, although a bunch of amazon accessories I've already ordered for the 6P shipped.

I guess, are reliable google updates worth $100?

I agree, all the reviews point to Moto X over 5, it's just the size thing. The tradeoffs are major in both directions (OIS vs updates) for me. Can't decide...

Personally Nexus 6P for me. Motorola hasn't proven that they can deliver updates properly anymore. When they were owned by Google, they obviously delivered updates on a timely basis but they've been awful since they were sold. Also Nexus built phones just feel buttery smooth at all times (even years after they were made). I have the original Nexus 6 and I see no reason to upgrade for a while because it runs so well.

One other thing is that the 6P has better battery life (big deal for me). Although that's partially because the Moto X is still stuck on Android 5.1.1 so it doesn't get the awesome standby times that Android 6.0 gives you.

And lastly, I rarely shoot video but I do take quite a few pictures. And the Moto X gets killed on lowlight pictures which is almost a total deal breaker for me.

But at the end of the day there are other smaller factors that weigh in both directions. The video I posted does a great job of dissecting all of the pros and cons. You just have to figure out how you weigh those differences and then pick the phone that you want.

6p if you ask me and can swing the extra 100.

Moto x only if you really use the voice commands a lot and would like to customize your launch phrase. Even then I'm past that phase now. I'm okay enough with the "okay Google". Plus updates is a huge reason to stay with nexus. Moto worries me with their timely updates now.

I happened to pick up the $200 Nexus 6 deal but have been debating getting the 6P instead. Can someone advise if the switch is worth it (and the extra $$$) or not? Will Rep
