Refs are tired of seeing Harden at the free throw line most of the game

Are Curry, Durant and Westbrook also ball hogs then?

westbrook is definitely a ball hog. thats always been the case. he takes an endless amount of horrible shots but is talented enough to make them from time to time. The type of shots harden has taken this year have approached WB level. he's not their yet but if he keeps this up, he's definitely knocking on that door. Harden's efficiency is what makes him stand out as a player. taking +20 shots a game is not he should be doing.

If you knew how curry and kd play, they do not play the same way that both WB has done throughout his career and harden has done this season. There's a huge difference in the shots they take compared to the other two.

Point Blank... Without Harden's sellfishness, ballhogging, and flopping, this team wouldn't score 80 points... So he's our only offensive option.. I can live with his untimely defensive brain farts on this particular team..

Wrong - they would get their scoring off of more team oriented ball and Lawson would be much more effective.

Harden is a great offensive player, but he is not an all time great because he doesn't play defense.

Have you seen the brick after brick after brick this team has thrown up?

Need an actual coach and offensive system if you want results like this.

No way should fans standards of Harden be "well he does a lot on offense so I don't mind the brain farts on defense". First of all, Harden has way more than just brain farts on defense. Second, what other allstar gets a break on the defensive end bc he's "doing too much on offense". It's absurd... The guy needs to play both sides of the ball. Simple as that. There's no excuses.

he won't. Durant and Westbrook were at least seen as better players. Lawson..isn't. He's not gonna keep his ego in check and play off the ball. Not that type of player.

Yes, many of those because the rest of the team doesn't get to touch the ball until late in the shot clock.

Harden smokes ciggerettes. That's honestly the only conclusion ican make. This guy just doesn't have the stamina to attack and not however arnoind playing zone d while the rest of the team plays man D.

He was clearly feeling it, hit a few threes in a row and yet in the last few minutes when we are within striking distance he starts passing it off to scrubs smh.

Too bad its the truth... Not everyone can be a two way player... Most of em are are defensive aces that develop a consistent offensive game to match... (Kwahi, Butler, George)..
Not many are vice versa buddy... Especially in todays NBA... They would rather outscore you than lock you down ...

not really the truth. if you don't expect Harden to be among the elites then I guess you're fine with him only being an offensive player. And that by far is not a "superstar" Dont put him in the class at the top with everyone else if hes a complete negative on the defensive end with little to no effort

The problem is consistency. I'd venture to guess we are at the top of the league when it comes to under 20 point quarters. We go from moving the ball really well and hitting open shots, to turnover after turnover, missed shot after missed shot, all the while stinking it up on defense.

Once again, I feel like we don't have a system. Something guys can rely on when they are struggling to get open. Not to reach into the past, but someone like Rick Adelman would be great right now -- though I know it wouldn't be a perfect fit as Dwight isn't a good passer/shooter. But we need someone with an offensive system. Guys DO NOT move on this team. It's absurd.
