The OL has been looking okay lately. So now I'm thinking a RB in the 1st. Maybe try and draft Elliot with that pick. Then get your QB in the second and use the 3rd for a TE/WR that has fallen for whatever reason. The team is a QB and RB away from becoming a real force in the league.
I wouldn't mind a veteran like Forte, Doug Martin, or Starks in the backfield. There are no really good pass-catching TEs in this draft. FAs like Gates, Gresham, and Watson are available. Not sure what the point of another receiver is if he doesn't get playing time. They really need speed on both sides of the ball and in the return game.
This is one pathetic franchise with bob mcnazi and his house boy doing their annual fail the city with an adequate qb and breaking everyones hearts yet again.
These are the only NFL QBs i would want over Goff. Brady Rodgers Wilson Brees Eli Ben Luck Cam Rivers Palmer Bortles Mariota Jameis Teddy Carr I would think long and hard about Kaepernick or RG3, but I would rather have one of these guys and Elliott, rather than just Goff
How could you have both? There's no way. There's probably no way to get Goff, or possibly Elliot, with our pick alone.
No way? Give Redskins or Niners what the market price pick is for them (I imagine a 4th would get it done.) Then if we pick late teens, just swap picks with someone in the 8-12 range and throw in our second or 3rd.
None of those guys are good QB's and they are locker room cancers from what I heard also. People would be calling for Yates to come back in
This may be the year Mr. McNair forces the team to trade up no matter what to draft a QB, according to some people over at 790.
Matters if they can get lynch or Goff. I can see the Browns and Cowboys taking a QB with their high picks
If Bob is going to retain Rick Smith (and by the article in the Comical today it appears he will) then he's not desperate. Championship organizations start at the top. Uncle Bob brought football back to Houston, but he's a HUGE part of the problem. That he continues to stick with Smith says EVERYTHING you need to know about his commitment to win a Super Bowl.
Manziel is starting Sunday, right? We have to hope he plays well and gives the Browns just enough hope to not draft a QB in the 1st round.
It depends. This isn't the year to go all in and give up a bunch to move up. But if they only give up a little to move up a couple of spots, it wouldn't be awful. I think you're going to see something similar to 2 years ago. People initially thought 4-5 QBs would go in the first round and the top 3 would go in the top 10-12 picks. But in reality, the 2nd and 3rd QBs didn't go until the end of the first round. Somebody might get desperate and overdraft Lynch the way Jacksonville did Bortles, but I don't think there's going to be a rush on QBs. In 2014 Oakland, Cleveland, and Minnesota all had top 10 picks and a need for QB and all waited. I think you'll see something similar this year.
I say we stand pat and draft Wentz. Otherwise, you draft Elliott and then trade up into the end of the first for Wentz.
Aren't the Cowboys in the top 5 right now for picking? I can see them addressing their back up QB problem with Goff. He can also be looked at the heir to romo as well
