No such thing as bad publicity. Plumber should have ran with the idea and made a million bucks instead of consulting with the bottom dwellers in law.

In a strange way, I feel the dealership should have to pay.

But I also haven't had any coffee yet. So I could be wrong.

The article actually states that the dealership told him NOT to remove it because it could scratch the paint. Something about they had tools that would take it off clean and they would do it.

But yeah, maybe he should have taken them off anyway.

Rule#: 5,325,178: Next time I sell a car, explicitly ask if they are going to resell it to terrorists.

He's being pretty reasonable with the dollar amount if you ask me. This is a case that is absolutely begging for a jury.

Chances are good that the vehicle was sold through an auto auction by the Ford dealer. Auctions are actually required to remove any decals prior to selling any vehicle. The dealer will likely just pass the buck and blame the auction that sold it for them.

If they were going to sell the vehicle off their lot, then the dealer would be liable to remove the decals.

If the dealership told him they would remove the decals, then I think he has a case.
