Just read Mourinho's quotes from after the match, said he feels betrayed by his players lmao. Abramovitch should really think about sacking Mourinho, makes no sense to stay with a coach that doesn't have the team behind him and who doesn't bring victories anymore.
Bad luck for Italian clubs with this draw. It looks like English will keep their 4 CL spots after all.
Abramovich has gotten more patient especially since he won that UCL trophy. Mourinho is also by far the best coach Chelsea has ever had. There is no one with a better resume than Mourinho. The team won the EPL just last season. If Chelsea get relegated, that is grounds for being fired, but if Chelsea stay in the PL Mourinho deserves another half a season. Of course, if Chelsea continue to suck halfway through next season than he is fired. If Chelsea's players aren't responding to Mourinho they need to get new players. There will be an exodus this offseason regardless, but there are plenty of talented youngsters who want to play under and be great under Mourinho.
Mourinho is such a showman, you cannot take his tantrums and mood swings seriously but his methods as a manager are sublime.
I wouldn't say he is "by far" the best. They also had Carlo Ancelotti who has won more UCL titles and also won a Prem title in his 2 seasons at Chelsea. Ancelotti's resume is equally as sparkling and Ancelotti, unlike "The Disingenuous one" doesn't burn bridges with players and management. (Although surprisingly, Mourinho never completely burned bridges with Abramovich after he left the first time). You are also believing that the Chelsea higher ups will let Mourinho stay on even if Chelsea end up in the Relegation zone. It seems you think he will stay on until the end of the season but watch and see if they don't get maximum or close to maximum points from their next 3 matches all before the end of the year. If they don't get at least 6-7 points from those matches I won't be surprise if he is sacked. Sunderland, Watford and United. Also, you're not considering the man management issue. Mourinho lost his team a while back(some would say around the 1st month of the season or even that 1st game). Comments like the one he made yesterday about Hazard and the one in which he basically took all credit for them winning the title last season and shirked blame for their play this season are comments that lose respect from players imo. The youngsters that want to play under Mourinho are youngsters that (a) aren't thinking (b) are content to not play (c) have bad agents/advisors-just want to get the money. Mourinho has tons of quality young players in the Chelsea system, he is barely using them. Most of them on loan elsewhere or sitting on the bench to watch Nemanja Matic, Ivanovic and Costa stink up the pitch again and again.
When Pep moves to City next season and brings Messi over, then we will finally reach the 2nd knockout stage before being eliminated.
Would much rather he bring Suarez. More controversial (entertaining) but also brings in the goals and kick ass dribbling.
Anyone see that nasty injury Lovren suffered several days ago? Dude got studs impaled right into his kneecap. Yuck.
Luckily I was looking at my phone when it happened. Avoided replays whenever they came up. It didn't bend sideways or backwards or anything right? :-S
Just been trying to analyze that puzzling Chelsea team breh. Kinda like what happened to Stu Holden vs Man.United some years ago. I still don't get the Pep to Man. United rumors and how/why that makes sense to any of the ppl reporting that. I'm gonna keep praying Bayern hold onto him and stop him from going to City.
Looks like Ancelotti to Bayern for 3 years. He better start learning some German if he hasn't already.
Would be great! Regarding Pep: Rushed Ribery back for games vs scrub teams a few weeks ago and now it seems he has suffered a serious injury, out for at least two months but there are rumours of his tendon being damaged, which would make it much worse. Best thing about this: New Bayern doc Braun was heavily against bringing Ribery back this early, but Pep blamed the injury on Braun and kicked him out of his office after Braun defended himself of Pep's accusations. First Müller-Wohlfahrt, now this. Pep really seems to be an incredibly arrogant douche.
I won't shed a tear when Pep leaves. His training is excellent and he is a very good coach, but he is a weird dude. Spoke to a friend from Barcelona the other day who said something similar.
