Even with Ariza, Washington is committed to less than $60 million next season (keeping Beal's cap hold of course) including minimum salary slots and draft pick slot. Durant's max number is around $25 million based on a $90 million cap figure. Wiz would be fine taking on Ariza's deal.

Trade would not be about Jones. Terrence is a throw-in on a trade at this stage. He has some value as a throw-in, a big with some experience, that a team could possibly take a flyer on. But he's not going to be the centerpiece of any trade unless we are flat dumping him to Philly to get his salary off the books at the deadline.

Nene is a better rebounder than anybody we have besides Dwight.
Nene is a better interior defender than Capela and DMo.
Nene is a better finisher than anybody we have besides James and Dwight.
Nene also gets to the FT line a ton and knocks them down at an acceptable rate making it difficult for the opponent to play hack-a on us.

Nene would give us the ability to have a solid defensive anchor out there for all 48 minutes. He can play off the bench with Capela. That's a good backup big combination. He can play post defense alongside DMo. And he puts us in a position to win the rebounding war most nights. If Nene can be acquired, and get healthy (I suspect his sitting out with injury is just an excuse right now to keep him sitting and not get hurt substantially), he'll help this team substantially on both ends of the court.

Nene is making way too much for what he's been averaging the past two years. No thanks

Nene is also an expiring deal.

So we aren't risking much by trading a point guard who doesn't seem to fit in, a power forward who has shown little to no improvement from two years ago, and a 3rd rotation player who was oddly prioritized over Josh Smith.

Yikes, whens the last time you watched Nene play bro?

Nene may have been all of those things when he was in denver...but its been a while and his age has hit him. He's 33, has had nagging injuries e for 5 years now, worse rebounder then TJ, decent defender at best, Capela is definitely better, He hasn't shot over 60% from the FT line for the last 3 seasons either. He's still a effecient finisher though, albiet he will only be scoring like 10 ppg.

I would be fine with Lawson, TJ, KJ for Jack, Nene and a pick from Washington. Mostly because both are expiring, both are vets who will bring some toughness and consistency in the playoffs. Plus a pick. No way in hell would I be cool with the Rockets throwing in Ariza.

Yikes, when is the last time you've watched us play? Worst rebounder than TJ? Gimme a break, man. Capela better defender? Nope.

Gotta watch our games man. Gotta watch our games.

Lawson is a bigger trade chip to just acquire a guy like nene.

Cmon bro, you can't just say "watch the games" when your wrong. I watch all of our games.

For the 2013-14 season, and 2014-15 season, Terrence Jones was a superior rebounder. Nene has fallen off with age, he can't move and jump like he used to.

Capela has averaged more blocks and steals per game this season then Nene did his last 2 seasons, Capela is a good defender, Nene again Nene has been slow on defense and isnt a shot blocker.

What about the FT% that you are also clearly off about? Do I have to watch our games? Oh I forgot stats mean nothing, even if is a documented performance sheet of players games somehow it means nothing in contrast to the all mighty Hollic eyeball test.

No. Terrence is not the superior rebounder nor has he been to Nene. That's ridiculous.

Terrence's TRB% in last year's playoffs was a little above 10%. Nick, I can rebound better than that. You have to be nuts to believe Terrence is a better rebounder than Nene when Terrence is one of the absolute worst rebounders of 4/5's in the whole league.

We're talking about going to the playoffs and playing the big boys. Neither Capela nor Jones can hold up to the true heavyweights in the WC. Not to mention the Finals if we possibly got there (not likely this year). Capela has shown some talent but he's totally overmatched when he has to go against real big boys.

DeAndre/Blake/Duncan/LaMarcus/Marc/Zach/Bogut/Ezeli/Draymond/Serge/Adams/Kanter/Favors/Gobert......Capela can't hold any of those guys. He's simply too green. Doesn't have the experience. Nor does he have the strength. Capela is best served playing alongside an established big. He has his greatest success playing next to Smoove last spring in the playoffs. Before that he couldn't break the rotation. And when he played next to Terrence...they were awful. Because neither guy is a plus defender. Capela does have potential. But he's not there. You can't scan a few box scores and see him throw down a few alley oops and think he's the answer here. He may be the answer in a couple more years. But right now Capela is a raw green kid. He needs another year before we're going to see what he's going to become. He may just be a really good defensive help defender who can finish. That might be all he ever becomes.

BTW, I'm not a big Nene fan. Never have been. And I can think of a lot of other trades I'd rather do than a deal for him. And I hope we actually do trade for somebody better than him.

But any thought that we're better off keeping Terrence and giving Terrence burn rather than acquiring Nene and Jack for Terrence, KJ, and Lawson is nuts.

And if you think Capela is going to help this team more than a healthy Nene will come playoff time in May then you simply don't watch enough basketball nor do you understand what you're watching. All you have to do is watch Capela play the 5 with Dwight sits. Watch how the opponent goes at him, gets physical with him. He's been totally exposed over the past 3-4 weeks. He's simply not ready.

Some of you guys come up with some truly terrible trades. We likely won't win any trade involving TJones and/or Lawson outright. The best we could hope for is maybe someone like Ryan Anderson or Thaddeus Young.

The Rockets need to add energy, defense, and playmaking to their backcourt. Enough with the retreads and former name players. Morey go and get TJ McConnell ASAP
