The Ridiculous 6. 6/10 Adam Sandler movie released on Netflix. Thought it was decent and better than most of his recent movies, which isn't saying a lot but nonetheless it was a good time killer.
I thought there were some funny scenes, but the consistency of the comedy wasn't there. Worth a watch for a few laugh out loud for real moments, but parts will bore you story wise. The cast was awesome though. Any time the camera wasn't on Adam Sandler, it got funny again. That dude has lost his touch with the audience. The highlight, for me, was when Vanilla Ice showed up. I was like, that dude seems familiar, I wonder... yup.
Trainwreck 5 Amy Schumer is not funny at all! Lebron, hot as f-ck MILF Tilda Swinton & Brie Larson made this movie bearable.
Bone Tomahawk - pretty damn good little indy western/action/horrorish kinda movie. Kurt Russell, Patrick Wilson, the dude from Lost, David Arquette.
I liked it. Nothing fancy but entertaining. Between Fargo, Watchmen, and this, I am beginning to like Patrick Wilson a lot.
Saw this a month back. It was definitely entertaining. Had some humor to it too, but I don't think that was intended - it was just so ridiculously entertaining at times you had to chuckle. Not going to win any awards, but entertaining!
Ridiculous 6 6/10 It had some funny moments, loved the cast. Story line was meh, but the cameos in it...
Hader wasn't funny? that was my expectation of this movie but I never watched it. Bill Hader is usually hilarious, though. Rocket River
Tilda is one of my favorite actresses (see The Beach, Snowpiercer, Talk About Kevin, etc...) but I had no idea she could be that hot.
You will be pleasantly surprised. I'm trying to think of other movie roles where otherwise "not hot" actresses turned out to be smoking hot....
Pan - 6/10 It was entertaining. Nothing worth telling people about. I thought Hook was already old and evil when Peter is his age in this movie. Hook looks at least 20 years younger in this movie than he actually is. Runner Runner - 2/10 Tried to be one of those smart movies, but written by a 3rd grader. And wow, Justin Timberlake brought everyone down to his acting level. Suddenly everyone over-acts. Even the good/bad Puerto Rican cop caught the fever.
The Intern - 8/10 The reason why I rate it rather high is because I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. I thought it would be one of those "put two unlikely people from opposite sides of society together and see what happens" or "put someone from another culture in today's pop world and see what happens" type of comedy. Much like the Internship (with Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson) or Rush Hour. Wasn't like that at all, I liked that it was a rather serious comedy about relationship and sacrifice. I was expecting to see 90 mins of De Niro struggling with technology and pop culture, while the kids look at him, shaking their heads saying, "oh grampa, he's at it again..."
soaked in bleach - i thought it was pretty good. doc about the death of Kurt Cobain on Netflix. that courtney love is a crazy b!tch
