    If the Cavs don't end their streak, then I see the Warriors breaking the 33 game winning streak and might go all the way to a 40 game winning streak. The Warriors are unstoppable.

    Because they haven't won 28 straight games. They have playoff losses. If you are talking about a streak of not losing you can't just ignore when they lost.

    Do playoffs count? Cleveland is the last team to beat them. It gets confusing with streaks from one season to the next. That's why you have to qualify the stat as consecutive regular season wins.

    The NBA officially counts last season's regular win streak + this season's regular win streak.

    So its at 28 games in the record books.

    Actually, there's two records, according to the NBA: longest winning streak and longest single-season winning streak. The Warriors are at 28 for the first and 24 for the second. Regular season games are all that count.
