I'm not too keen on Singer myself. I thought his other efforts were okay, nothing crazy but I'm stoked to see this. I love the costumes though. Very sexy, is that chick a young storm or am I thinking of another character. And no I am not going to read any of the comics.
On one hand, Mystique is not an overly interesting character, and only because of Jennifer Lawrence's burgeoning popularity did they make more of her character than a "stand in background 85% nude and blue, look menacing". On the other hand, JLaw is mega-hot and since I watch the XMen movies anyway, I'll just enjoy the eye candy while it's there. (shrug)
I think Wolverine have had his share of screen time and that's enough of him. All the xmen movies ever always have wolverine, I think it's time for him to take a break. If there's one character I'd like to see more at the forefront is Beast? He might be my favorite of the bunch.
No disrespect to Wolverine, without him, the team ain't doing ****. I just think he's a dull character, in the movies. On the fox cartoon show, the dude is a badass.
He is dull on-screen outside of a 5 second sequence in X2. In the comics he works well as a supporting character. Jackman's Wolverine is a softie and talks too much.
Yeah I believe they said he was doing some reshoots so Wolvy will definitely be in the movie. Wouldn't be an X-men movie without him. And I agree with other posters. I like J-Law and would wife her with a quickness but it feels like we are basically having Katniss in this X-men movie now. At least keep her bad or something jeez. Rebecca Romijin's Mystique didn't get anywhere as much screen time but was a much more effective Mystique and a closer realization of her comic book counterpart. Otherwise this movie is looking bad ass. Was hoping for a more robotic sounding Apocalypse but after watching the trailer a second time Oscar Isaac is killing it as the character. Mohawk Storm looks great too as well as bald James McAvoy at the end. My body is ready brehs
The trouble with bad guys this powerful is how is it really feasible, in the plot, to defeat them? But I'm down with this; I'll see it.
Well someone like Apocalypse can't ever be permanently defeated, it's always temporary. The X-men have some pretty ridiculously OP characters themselves, for example if Jean Grey goes Phoenix mode on them she can be just a whole lot more powerful than Apocalypse would dream of being.
I don't even think Apocalypse is incredibly powerful compared to other powerful mutants. But he has Magneto & Storm apparently and that's a lot of firepower. I imagine Magneto and Storm ultimately help the X-Men defeat Apocalypse. He's never been a Thanos, Galactus or Onslaught type.
Apparently, props to this Honduran Julliard trained thespian. Inside Lewyn Davis is his best role & the ******* warden in Sucker Punch
So what's Apocalypse's powers anyway? He can control mutants... and grow 50 feet... has healing powers since he's like 5000 years old... and is incredibly blue?
Nowadays it seems like any actor will do for a role that's stocky and intimidating...ie Bane. If this were the 80s/90s, they'd cast some roided up actor or at least someone 6"5+
As a non-comic book fan, that trailer looks much better and got me more intrigued than Batman vs. Superman or Civil War. I wonder what others think?
