UT keeps moving away from pro style principles and Strong's days are numbered - Allen needs to go to a pro style offense because he has NFL tools.

Allen transferring is a failure on the staff. He has talent. A better OC would have put him in better situations.

Tate Martell has something to do with this and the Murray rumors but this definitely isn't good, regardless. I anticipate a great 2016 for TAMU, but if they falter, it could be the beginning of the end.

Agree, we will be loaded with talent next year and if we do not win at least 10 games, that will be the end of the Sumlin era and time for the Herman era. In all, he would of left the program in a better state than when he inherited it.

Sumlin promised Murray a certain number of snaps which is never a good thing for either side IMO.

No he will have to sit out regardless unless NCAA grants a waiver. He cannot transfer to another SEC team though no matter what though.

This is bad. It feels bad. But at the end of the day it's not so bad having a stable of QB's (including Martell) and a bit of leakage. Better to get the guys in your program, see what they have, than just not recruit them period.

If Allen was a megastar he wouldn't be transferring, he'd be starting. There was a chance he would be special, Sumlin grabbed him, didn't pan out. Now it's on to the next.

Agreed, I can see Allen wanting to play for a pro style offense but how many of those are left in College? Either way, Sumlin needs to take control of the offense and consider firing Spavital or have more input on game plan and adjustments. If he is the offensive guru that we think he is he should be able to at least put up decent numbers and find a QB that can run his system or tailor the system to that player's strengths. If he can't do it then he is not who we thought he was. I feel like our line let us down a lot this year along with the lack of depth at RB but we still should have been more consistent than we showed this year.

I would be surprised if he didn't head back to Arizona and go to one of their schools. I think he's more likely to end up anywhere in the Pac 12 than the big 12.

Also, you typically have to graduate from your current school and have an extra year of eligibility in order to transfer without sitting a year. This usually tends to be players that red shirted their freshman year of college.

From what I've read his transfer year can count as his redshirt since he played as a freshman, so he'll have two years to play two.

That doesn't seem like it makes sense. You're saying because he never red shirted then he does not have to sit a year with a transfer?

EDIT: Oh ok you are just saying that he won't lose any years of eligibility. He still sits in 2016 but has 2 years to play after that.

Arizona makes no sense. His parents want him gearing up for the pros. I wouldn't be surprised if a wildcard, like ND came knocking.

I don't think he would get much playing time at Notre Dame, especially if Zaire is able to come back at full-strength. Zaire is only a sophomore assuming he got a medical redshirt this past year.
