I like how Harden fans always come up with TS% to boast about him, while ignoring his abysmal fg% and 3pt%. That flopping bull**** doesn't work in the playoffs, we've seen it in the last two years, where refs didn't fall for that crap. TS% doesn't mean jack when his shooting numbers are really bad for a franchise player and TS% being incredibly inflated by his regular season FT begging.
Had it different in memory, true. Sadly can't find the data for each series and an estimate of how many drives lead to FTs, could someone find that? But still, TS% is extremely inflated by FTs and Harden's reliance on refs. Saying he has a 57 TS% while scoring 28+ppg is misleading when looking at his extremely bad raw shooting percentages, which are bad for an offensive first option and franchise player, especially his shot inconsistency. He had better numbers last year and the years before, people shouldn't make it sound like he has a good shooting season by just providing TS%.
Threads like this with stupid ass polls like that shot how stupid our fanbase can be. I wonder if when Jordan or Kobe had slumps if the fans in L.A and Chicago were this pathetic. Harden is the best sg in the league, gi to the site and vote for Harden
The voting isn't split into PG, SG, etc. Agree that Harden is all-star material, but with the limited numbers of spots it's not like Harden is heads and shoulders above the other guards in the West. Curry and Westbrook definitely deserve to be in front of him by all numbers and things taken into account, and that doesn't leave many open spots for the guard position. If it is a popularity contest, then the fan votes will get him in. But performance wise he shouldn't be a starter right now. The coaches will vote him in regardless if he doesn't secure enough fan votes, but don't act like it's stupid to say he doesn't deserve to be starting.
Curry is the better combo guard hands down!!! But I definitely will vote for James just not as interested in this year's ASG than before. meh
So the whole league should be ok with harden being an all star not based on this year but last year's work. I don't blame Harden for everything but that doesn't mean he should get something he doesn't deserve. Hardens not the best she until he decides to play d.
Harden's player efficiency rating this year - last time I bothered to check about a week ago - was the same as Hakeem's - in his 1994 MVP year.
Oh? Well maybe he can get a spot, will be interesting to see who gets more votes between him and westbrook.
Why are people counting Kobe amongst the guards? Do you guys have any basketball knowledge outside Rockets?
Curry and Westbrook. I love Harden, but Westbrook is having a better year so far. Not called hating, just being a true fan of the game.
