Good luck Aggies with the Sumlin yrs. Tell me when was the last championship Sumlin won in any conference. (With 2 of the GOAT college QB's) Sumlin is a perfect fit for the Aggies. Embrace the mediocrity Aggie fans.

Mediocrity? Never finished below or at .500 with Sumlin as a coach. Again, knowledgeable people knew this would not be a contending year and that next year was the year to get excited. I am not worried at all, funny though that a bunch of people that did not go to the school care so much about us. Thank you all for your concern.

 

Manziel won the Heisman. What other "GOAT" college QB did Sumlin coach?

I knew one of the two QB's would transfer. Frankly, I was disappointed in Allen. He was supposed to be the top pro style QB in the nation, but he never looked that good to me. It may be unfair to judge a QB after only his sophomore year, but I was expecting more. He did well against weaker teams, but really struggled at times against the better teams.

Sumlin certainly gave him the chance to win the job and to succeed in my opinion. At a school like A&M the QB better play well because others will be waiting in the wings.

Yes, I know. But he wasn't the starter the entire year. I don't think Allen felt for sure he was going to be the starter next year. I think that uncertainty is why he is leaving.

I don't think Sumlin handled the whole QB situation very well this year. I thought Murray would be red shirted. Sumlin was going back and forth between the two guys, so I can understand why the QB's would be unhappy. But Allen was made the starter at the beginning, but didn't play well enough to keep it.

I don't know, the Aggie offense just looked out of sync all year. Sumlin needs to get this corrected, because the Aggies are getting talent.

 

I'm sure he was considering it. My guess is that now that Allen is going, Murray will stay.

 

Per Liucci, he's considering it even after the Allen transfer. But I agree with you, I think he stays.

 

It would be a huge indictment of Kevin Sumlin if he left.

At the same time, I don't think either guy measures up to what Sumlin needs in a QB. If Murray stays and doesn't perform well, things could get really ugly.

 

I guess this is catching a lot of people by surprise.

If Allen has to sit a year, he should choose UH. If he doesn't, then he should choose UT.

 

Could be wrong but think he has to sit out a year no matter what.

 

I'm betting he goes to Arizona or Arizona St.
