Hey guys, i currently work as an engineer full time, usually 8 to 6 or 7. Was wondering if yall know ways I could make money on the side, without too much pressure mentally if possible. And if theres a new skill i could learn that would be useful at home, that would be nice too. Or a job where i can relax and read a book and just babysit? Any ideas? Thanks.

Dave Ramsey always said that being a pizza delivery driver on the weekend is the best 2nd job a person can get. I will say that the last time I did that job, back in 2000, when I averaged in the tips I was making close to $15/hr, which was pretty damn good back then. Probably would climb well over $20/hr now.

But you would have to resign yourself to working most every weekend.

The gas usage for these jobs offset the money earned though, no?

But seriously, no offense OP but either your job doesn't pay enough in which case you need to look for better opportunities or you just have this insatiable craving to earn more while sacrificing the finer things in life. How many of this threads have you started already?

As an Engineer you should be touching 6 figures easy after about 3-5 years experience and in Houston that is a very decent salary to live a good life

Sounds like you might be able to provide some technical writing if you're up for it.

I'm only working as a material science engineer, this field doesnt pay much. In the 60s right now.

And that thread you mentioned, i actually started investing already as was the advice given in that thread. So that was helpful. I just want extra money now.

This one actually sounds interesting. 60 bucks in how many hours was that?
