The Rockets may be on a nice little winning stretch of games, but the weak schedule is the major reason for that. There is no reason to get encouraged by what we are seeing from them. Are the Rockets playing better than they were earlier? Sure, they are. Are they still making a ton of mistakes and getting lucky? Yes, they totally are. The Rockets simply have not played well enough. They are barely scraping by against weak competition. If their level of competition was tougher, they would be getting blown out. Us fans may want to "enjoy" this while it lasts because it's NOT going to be pretty come January. The Rockets are exactly the type of team to rest on their laurels too, believing that this little winning streak means that they don't have to continue improving. The Rockets have A LOT of work to do to even be comfortably in the Playoff picture.
OKC, Clippers, Dallas, Wizards are all solid teams, but outside of that, yes we have had a extremely weak schedule. Lot of home games too. But no win is a fake win in the NBA.
They are just wins for me, but yes they are still playing like **** and I don't feel optimistic of even going past the first round.
We win and then fans think we're doing good. This is not the case as Rockets have been majorly inconsistent. These wins are giving fans false hope
These are legitimate concerns. Let's hope this is just like last year when the Rockets are looking at the comp and thinking they are better and not trying as a result. Rockets have good wins against the Clippers, OKC, and Dallas when they actually looked like they know basketball. Maybe they put forth the effort against teams they think are worthy of their effort... I know it sounds ridiculous, but... whatever...
op is right in a way. though its pointless to complain now since the rockets have a long way to go, they're still not playing well, and been on an easy stretch since the clipper game. again needed a monster game from harden to win, and old man terry in crunch time. dwight only 4 shots. i dunno if they should put more emphasis on winning games or figuring out how to play as a cohesive team. i'd rather they do the latter. i dont wanna see harden do a repeat of last saeson, WITH DWIGHT AND DMO. hopefully those 2 guys get going by the end of this month
"Fake wins" lmao This board WANTS to be sad at this point. Yes...the Rockets are not playing like they were expected to this season. Literally nobody thinks otherwise. It's not bad to win games on the road, though. Nothing fake about it.
