I don't think he's being a terrible fan. This has been a bad season, and there is something wrong with this team. We don't know what's going on behind the scenes. But, we can see that there are problems on the court. If the problems can be solved without trading Harden, then I'm all for it. I would love to see Harden win a championship as a Rocket. However, sometimes a trade is in the best interest of everyone involved. If Harden in unhappy in Houston, and that's part of the problem, then all options have to be considered.

Keep in mind that star players do get traded. The Rockets have traded Elvin Hayes, Moses Malone, Ralph Sampson, Otis Thorpe, Hakeem Olajuwon, Scotty Pippen, Steve Francis, and Tracy McGrady.

You don't Harden without getting him the proper coaching first. Harden obviously excels when he has a coach who will hold him accountable ( Coach K, Thibs )

If we are talking trade, I would do a 3 way and send Cousins to Indiana and get Paul George and some other role player in return

    Harden to LA
    Cousins to Pacers
PG and role player (CJ miles) to Houston

I would give full reign to Lawson as primary ball handler and creator and surround him with defensive guns in PG, Ariza and Dwight

    Lawson / Bev
    Ariza / Thornton
Paul George / Miles / Brew
    DMo / TJ
    Howard / Capela

I believe Lawson can get Dwight about 18-20 PPG. Can also go small with PG at 4 and not miss much

Harden has demonstrated consistent excellence since his first game here.

He is a veritable iron man, seemingly immune to injury, on a team whose spent the better part of a decade being decimated by injuries.

He has taken this team to more success than it has seen in 20 years.

He has earned respect and frankly he deserves better than what the ****tiest fan base in the NBA have offered.

There will be ups and downs. Get over it, and stop whining when there are set backs.

You aren't supporting your team getting better players. You are butthurt because the team hasn't lived up to high expectations over a short period of time and now you want to trade one of the best players in the NBA for an inferior player for no logical reason whatsoever.

Its a stupid thread, its a stupid idea, is just plain stupid. There is no other way to put it.

Indiana isn't trading George, and the Rockets aren't trading Harden (unless he request it), so this is all moot. That being said, as far as completely unrealistic trade scenarios go, this is probably one of my faves.

Get out of here with your trolling.

I suppose you didn't want to trade Steve Francis, using this logic.

    Brilliant.

Which boxes in #3 does he not tick? Maybe only "leadership" in my opinion. He definitely has the rest.

As far as #4, I don't think our system is the problem. The problem is the way the players are running it right now.

you act like win means getting a championship or it means nothing. KG's situation and Cousins is completely different. Kg's teams made the playoffs and had winning records consistently. Cousins teams are below .500 and consistently in the lottery big difference. If you don't see that then you have no clue what you're talking about.

Funny how my argument is weak when all you can say for cousins is he had "no talent around" him. and you still haven't answered whether or not you think lin, parsons, asik are mediocre or apparently stars or not. Might want to look at yourself in the mirror first before actually being able to criticize someone else who speaks the truth rather than the OPINION of "no talent around"

Which years was Steve Francis a top five player, runner up MVP, and lead the Rockets to the WCF. I'll wait.

    Actrually, I won't.

Stop being an idiot. Just stop.

As seen this season, Counsins lack of athletic ability hurts him a bit but he is one center that can thrive if he needs to play from the post all game.

Your argument is basically "WINZZZ" while ignoring it's a team game and Sac is a terrible franchise.

Rudy Gay and Darren Collison are terrible. Isaiah Thomas was a rookie.

I think Cousins would have taken that Rockets team to the playoffs, yes.

Really excellent post. The funny thing is, we only had these high expectations because of James Harden. Without Harden, we are right there expecting to be mediocre fighting for an 8 seed. When we don't live up to the lofty expectations because said player is under performing, the solution is to trade the only player capable of getting us back to living up to those lofty pre-season goals. Clutchfans logic.

Stop being so sensitive. Just stop.

Harden isn't that player this year. Not even close.

When is he going to return to MVP form? Or are we going to celebrate last year indefinitely?

MVP candidates from last year- Steph, LeBron, Kawhi, don't seem to have suffered huge dropoffs. Why?

You can't possibly believe a starting lineup of Jeremy Lin, James Anderson, a 2nd year Chandler Parsons, Patrick Patterson, and Demarcus Cousins is better than what Cousins has had his entire career in Sacramento.

My gf treats me like crap this year but oh since I had such a memorably romantic year with my girlfriend last year I shall just unconditionally give her my full heart.

My patience is till the end of this season. If nothing changes, pack your things and leave.

That 45 win team wasn't great, but had solid role players...Sacramento has basically been Cousins plus garbage for a long time.
