We are now 3-10 when we lose the rebounding battle and 7-2 when we win the rebounding battle. We don't have great shooters. But defense and rebounding is all about desire, focus, and effort. I thought I was watching a 3A team tonight. Harden looked like a pouting 9th grader. Don't know what his problem is but very poor leadership right now.
That sounds like a problem on paper but again, in this game that wasn't the problem. Rockets shot well enough to win (43% on 35's three attempts). They just can't defend. Nets shots 56% for the game.
This is and continues to be the problem They seem to always come out dragging their as*** and tonight got down by 18 Defense is this teams biggest problem
THAT makes the loss even worse!!! Defense or at least a genuine attempt to defend should be constant! Defense comes from the heart and comes from buying into a system! A system that puts the TEAM ahead of personal stats! Everyone wants to be a running back and nobody wants to defend the run!! No worries, Player-Coach BRickerstaff is on it! ... ....... ....... .......
My thoughts as well. Make fun of the simplistic McHale "Play Hard" logic all you want. But its still effort and determination thats a big issue with the team. Even with the shooting woes, the Rockets dont rebound and play hard enough defense OR offense When Thornton the only one giving a sh** came into the game, it was OBVIOUS the effect of just playing hard. It didnt take all 32 of Thorntons points to see difference in output with a listless Harden on the bench

especially when Howard is chasing butterflies during the game. Past years one could have an off night. Nowadays BOTH have off nights appears to be more of the new norm this season. Pathetic

Exactly, and everytime someone calls his b****ass out on here all the homers congregate and try to sift through any stat they can. I don't hate him or think he is a bad player without talent. I just think he is a sissy with a loser's attitude that needs to change if the rockets have any hopes for a championship.
It starts from the top, hard to have a winning mentality when the guy your team has completely put their future in and trusts is so mentally weak.
