Like others have said, I'm not sure inserting a volatile personality like Morris is the right direction for this team. Sometimes what looks like a value deal is a value trap.
Would not trade any of those guys for Morris, but would trade any 1 or maybe 2 of them for Devin Booker.
We have D-Mo and Harrell is looking like a keeper. Jones gives you occasional good minutes. Capela might be able to help here in the future. Is Markieff Morris really going to make a difference on this team? I doubt it. I say we wait it out and not disturb the chemistry anymore than it needs to be unless someone better becomes available.
Devin Booker is a name I've mentioned in hushed half-hopeful tones, but he wouldn't be had for free. I think docrocket said back before the draft that he's someone we wanted. God knows he'd fit the "system", as he's shooting 41% from 3; but that also means Phoenix wouldn't want to lose him.
I don't see how Morris would help the team either. He's probably better than Harrell but arguably not as good as Jones making him the 5th big man off the bench. Why trade for that? Would he be happy in such a small role or would he be a cancer? Just not worth it, I'm going to dismiss this rumor as nothing more than a Mavs homer making up BS because he's upset that the Rockets beat them recently.

3 team get involved morey !! not sure how this will work with the harrel and the hard cap situation however, someone can fill that in Suns - Jones Pelicans - morris Rockets - Anderson
terrence contract is $2.5m, hard cap means it has to be roughly equal in and out, but morris is $8m and anderson is $8.5m so it doesnt work.
I know it doesnt just wanted someone to come up with a way, I be damned if harrel (d league non floor spacer) stops us from adding a PF thats #1 STRENGTH is shooting 3s and stretching the floor in our offense.
The rockets can't do this move because of the cap. They can go 2 for 1 with Jones and Brewer but do you really want to put Jones and Davis on the same team? Something tells me they'll find a way to beat us. We need to just stand pat
Rockets out: Jones, Brewer, KJ Rockets in: Ryan Anderson, PJ Tucker -get a stretch 4 and another wing defender to pair with Harden Suns out: Morris, PJ Tucker Suns in: Jones, Brewer -get rid of a headcase and replace with a young PF and a track star that can fit well in their high-octane offense Pels out: Ryan Anderson Pels in: Morris, KJ -take a risk on Morris, but get to take a flier on KJ's potential
I did the math and its really hard to make that trade work without sending a big contract(Bev, Lawson, Ariza) and with Brewer not being trade eligible for over a month I'm not sure we will be able to get in on this one. KJ, TJ, and Dekker for Anderson work financially but since it is a 3 for 1, we would need to sign aa player, and we simply wouldn't have enough money under the hard cap to do so.
