Oh man...the GARM will be apocalyptic if we trade Trevor Ariza for Markieff Morris. That'd be hilarious/terrifying.
Because Ariza is a valuable member of the team and Jones is a bench player on the last year of his contract that won't get a new deal here and is prime trade bait.
Just mentioning the cap implications of trading for Morris. 8 mil in salary has to go. Why we are JUST talking about Jones makes no sense. He's as likely as anyone but he's not the only one we should be discussing if we truly want this deal to go down(which I dont). On a separate note, trading Ariza right now is very much a Morey-type of move that would come out of left field, and 6 months later we will be talking about how genius the move was. But yeah Ariza for Morris straight up won't be THAT move, but since his salary is what it is, if you are discussing a possible deal you HAVE TO at least discuss him as much as others.
Why would anyone want him? Morey should be fired for not waiving and stretching him ASAP. Cut the cancer out before he infects the team further. Also I'm pretty sure Smith is barely even in the Clippers rotation which means they are obviously saving him for the playoffs. How silly would it be to trade their best kept secret for the worst player in the NBA hands down???
LOL, you're such an overly emotional wreck when it comes to talking about your boy Jones. Smith for Jones would be a great deal for the Rockets, probably a poor deal for the Clippers. The Rockets would get to save a bit of money while picking up a better player to come off the bench. The Clippers get rid of an acquisition that didn't really work out for them but make a rival team better. I dunno, maybe they'd do it, but I doubt it.
It's called sarcasm dude. Of course I could give two sh$&'s if they trade Jones. Just F-ing with you and your obsession with TJ. You're like the 6th grader who has a crush on a girl but picks on her during recess. Give it up dude. Jones for Smith isn't the worst deal in the world for both teams. That being said I think the Rockets got the best Josh Smith they possibly could have gotten last year. Same with Brewer. We've learned a lot about our superstar over the past two months, and one conclusion I am drawn to is getting back to the days when we let Morey build around his star with Moreytype of undervalued players(Scola/Landry/Battier types) and stop putting more guys with checkered pasts with volatile personalities around Harden. You play with fire long enough... Yeah. So it goes without saying that I'm definitely not a fan of a Marcus Morris trade under almost any circumstance.... Unless it means getting rid of the team cancer Terrence _Ones
Interesting opinion. I'm of the opinion we need a bit of mongrel in our team, which we had last season in J Smoove. But your points are good nonetheless
Please stop lowering yourself to his level. The guy is an idiot plain and simple. Ignore and move on. Engaging in honest discussion is an admission that his position is a valid opinion, as opposed to what it truly is: an agenda.
Actually Josh is still their best backup, but he only gets 15 minutes per game... Our PFs are all injury prone. If they can't play playoffs again, Rockets will miss Josh Smith more than any time.
yEAH because Josh Smith is so valuable for them. That's why he has problems in the lockeroom can't get a significant role and playing time and they are already shopping him. But the question remains WHY did Smith leave the Rockets. That's what should bother us first about getting him back. If he has problems with someone in the organisation it's not wise to trade for him.
