Yes, Saudi Arabia's defense minister is 30 years old - that is my age. Would y'all trust a 30 as war secretary?

For sure. But I think a lot of the problems in the Middle East can be tracked back to the Saudis.

I think it's fairly obvious that the Saudis are the catalyst behind all of the unrest in the region. The real question is how do we get them to stop? Or do we leave it alone, and let them cannibalize each other?

For quite some time, I've been wanting to start a thread titled:

Iran or Saudi Arabia? Who is our real enemy in the Middle East?

I think it's pretty obvious the whole region was unstable before January 2015, and indeed before this guy was born. Maybe he's a bad guy, maybe he's making everything worse, but to throw the problems of the Middle East on this guy is ridiculous. The USA has done more to destabilize the Middle East than Saudi Arabia could ever hope to.

Blame it all on the British, they created the whole mess from the start.

I think it benefits Saudi. With all the chaos ISIS is creating, it makes other governments weak, but given Saudi has a strong army they don't have as much to worry about. Also the violence increases the value of their oil. In terms of policy it benefits them pretty well so from a saudi perspective he is doing well.

QUESTION: If all 'western'/non-Middle Eastern Countries left the region

    What would happen?

We will find out when all the oil are gone, in about 100-200 years.

    Exactly.

The basic point seems to be
If the Western/Non Middle Eastern powers could spin it properly
They would EXTERMINATE everyone in that region
and then just take the resources

I just don't get the feeling they give a d*mn about the people there
I know for sure they don't care about them more than the resources in the area.

Question: Have the people in these regions been killing each other for centuries before oil was ever present there?

Saudi Arabia is so stupid. Don't they get that when these states fail they turn into terrorist havens? or worse, they just don't care.

We can not allow this to happen. We need to move in the opposite direction.
