I could've sworn this originated from the Ive grown to hate Trevor Ariza thread from his first stint in houston
Harden's offensive explosiveness is far greater and more than enough to offset his defensive flaws as evidenced by his positive RPM or BPM numbers; moreover, he's actually a decent one-on-one defender, just not good at transition D and rotations. BTW, Harden was arguably the third best player in the last playoffs (behind Curry and Lebron), so there goes your crappy theory.
I just want him to be more consistent with his jumper, his shooting % is not good right now albeit most of the team is shooting like crap, but when his J is falling, he's unstoppable because you he can burn you in so many ways.
Yess your so right every player harden Guards puts up 30 7/7 like he avg. Yes your right harden didn't avg 27/7/6 last playoffs shooting 46/40 and was the catalyst with dwight on a team that went to the WCF. He didn't score 20+ points in 14/17 games he didn't have two 40 point outings a triple double or multiple high assist games. Your right none of that happened I must have made it all up in my dreams. Your bottled up hate for Harden clouds yours and many other posters around here's judgement. Fact is Harden is great is top 3 in win shares again is avg 30/7/7 and hasn't even found his shot yet. The rockets will be back in the top 4 in the west again with harden in the mvp conversation again with the team having a shot at a title run again. Can't ask for much more from the guy he's getting it done even if it's not the way you like. Actions speak louder than words and harden has dominated the past 3 years taken this team further than we've been in 17 years have us old heads like myself who hasn't been this excited about a rockets team since 1997. James harden has made all that happen and he hasn't even reached his potential. Go root for another team I can't stand the constant bashing of our best player since Hakeem the dream (who said JH is HoF bound by the way) you guys that hate need to go somewhere else yall suck!!!
you have to keep in mind that LPH had went all around this forum before last season insisting that we trade James Harden for Kevin Love (alol). When Harden had his amazing season last year he was forced to stew. Now that Harden has started off with a poor shooting season, he's happier than ever. I can't believe how fake of a Rocket fan some people here are. Some of you should rewatch game 1-2 of the WCF and see how well Harden played on the road, almost single handedly giving us those wins against one of the best teams of all time. The Warriors were better than us last year and this year and are an amazing team. That doesn't make Harden suck.
Harden really ain't **** without his flopping though. He's been a terrible shooter this year and his defense is still garbage 80% of the time
Read your post again and consider how idiotic it is. But somehow I doubt someone named 'Isoball' who has only been here since November is really Rockets fan posting in good faith anyways.
Are you joking? The difference between Harden being a scrub and an MVP candidate is his 'flopping'? Sure he embellishes contact but the vast majority of the time hes getting racked across the arms going to the basket. Last time anybody checked thats a foul
Eyeball tests suggest that many CFers are growing FAST one way or the other in the last month, which I believe will be great for the maturing of the forum.
James Harden: -Rather get fouled then score -Mediocre 3pt shooter -Mediocre mid range shooter -Chokes in the playoffs -Minimal leadership qualities -Would rather party during the playoffs -Turnover machine -13 turnovers in the playoffs -Would rather work on his image than his game in the offseason -Does not care to play defense Only reason I root for Harden is because he's on my team. Once he's gone my fandom is done. He isn't going to get us a championship unless miracle coaching can turn him around but RIGHT NOW there's not ONE quality that is like able from this man. I would trade him for PG right now. Rockets future would be way brighter with Paul George then James Harden. Stop sippin dat kool aid!
- Killer Step Back - Killer Euro Step - One of the most Clutch Player in the League - Good/Decent 3pt shooter considering the Volume and Frequency (League average is 35%, Harden is career 37% and makes around 200 in a season) - Exceptional Ball Handling Skill for SG - Exceptional Passing Skill & Court Vision for SG (might be all time great in his position) - Exceptional Ability to Draw Contact (not flopping) and getting to the FT line - Possesses Superb Body Control - Drives to the Basket at Will - Highly Efficient Player (Career 60% True Shooting Percentage) - Only player not named Hakeem in the Rockets history to ever come close to winning a MVP and leading his team to WCF - Already has more 50+ pts games than Hakeem - Was Arguably the Third Best Player in the Last Playoffs (Next to Curry and Lebron) Honestly, the only reason I sometimes criticize Harden is precisely because he is on my team, hence receiving more sharp attention and scrutiny. If he was playing for some other team that I don't care about, my admiration for this dude would be through the roof By the way, I can probably list 10 flaws in MJ's game too (#Haters Logic Fail) Just come back to me when PG finishes in top 3 in MVP voting and leads his team to WCF, not weak ass ECF Always a pleasure to see LOFs spewing out their deep-seated hatred towards this man
People don't appreciate how clutch Harden is. He's one of the clutchest players in the league and we went for years and years without having people that were clutch in the fourth. He single handedly delivered us so many wins last year. That's why we won more games than were predicted by our plus/minus
http://stats.nba.com/league/player/...4-15&SeasonType=Regular Season&sort=PTS&dir=1 so true. if you look at the clutch stats from last season, you can see that he was prob the top 2 clutch shooters out there along with Lebron, when you factor in the amount of points scored in clutch time and the accuracy with which he made those shots.
