LOFs are visibly bitter about Harden picking up his game and that the Rockets are winning again. they used to gloat over the fact that we suck lol
He's past his prime! He is no superstar anymore! He is not elite! I have grown to hate Boogie Cousins!
there were a BUNCH of posters that should probably be called out by name that insisted that we should try to trade Harden for Boogie, which....lol
As Drogba and ksny15 have already pointed out, Harden was guarding Rudy Gay (and Casspi) last night, not McLemore. There are several other similar comments about Harden playing bad defense on McLemore in this same thread by others, so I've got to ask "did you watch the game"? I'm really curious as to why these kind of comments keep popping up. The way that I see it there's 4 possibilities: 1) You didn't watch the game and just assumed that Harden was guarding McLemore since they are both SGs. If this is the case, then why would you be making criticisms on things that you didn't even see? That's just setting yourself up to look dumb. 2) You watched the game but didn't pay attention enough to realize that Harden was guarding the SF all night. If you truly did watch and just didn't realize who Harden was actually guarding then you just might want to refrain from making comments and embarrassing yourself. 3) You knew that Harden wasn't guarding McLemore but you claimed he was anyway in order to be able to criticize Harden. Again, why would you do this? You have to realize that somebody on this forum actually watched the game and knew what really happened. 4) You were mistaking another player for Harden. If that's the case, then I can help, he's the one with the beard. I'd really like to know why these type of comments keep happening? Rox11, did you watch the game? Simple question.
Cousins is playing an incredible season and can score even from 3 now, much improved. Going by whole season his has been infinitely better than Harden's, and he also just came back after being out some games ago. This one game doesn't make up for it the least, no game does (notice I'm not saying Harden is a bad player, in top shape he's as valuable as Cousins). But please don't use one game to call out posters, when Cousins has been better most of the season.
'in top shape he's as valuable as cousins' wake me up when he carries his team to the playoffs, let alone the number 2 seed. Some people are so dense.
also, just keep in mind he's shooting 42% from the field as a big man. Also, he's always been known as a difficult headcase, something you can never say about James
Let's ignore entire careers and go off of these 20 games alone. That's always a good way to compare players and judge trade possibilities.
Decent points. Just remember charges are turnovers too and can be called whether it's a pass off or a player is trying to score. Newsflash - not everyone who talks down on Harden is a LOF. Do you even post in non-basketball forums on this board? I've never seen you. You could never be more Houston than me.
lol Cousins is shooting 42% from the field and has the gall to call himself the best Center? even with the horrible start, Harden's PER is still better than Cousins which tells you how inefficient Cousins is. Not to mention Harden has the superior team record. So, who is having better season? Nice job comparing a dude who has not even once finished in top 10 in MVP voting to last years MVP runner-up.
If you say you can't use one game to judge who is better, that why is it ok to use a 20 game sample size? Why not judge them based on their entire careers too? To say that Harden and Cousins are equally valuable is far-fetched, unless actual team won-loss record doesn't mean anything to you. This is Cousins' sixth year in the NBA. He already has a pretty large body of work to judge, and unless he is suddenly able to lead the Kings to a winning record or the playoffs, it is hard to call him equal to last year's runner-up MVP candidate who has already won a lot of NBA games and had real playoff success.
