This is dumb… You can't complain about a guy "missing shots" where he is being blatantly fouled. The stats don't count them as fg attempts for this exact reason, I understand if they are touch fouls and he's blowing the and 1, but that was never the case tonight (except for the missed dunk). Haters gonna hate..
that foul by mclemore taking out dwight's legs on the dunk pissed me off. JB should have taken a tech for that. anything to get the refs/media to watch what goes on w/ all the cheap shots teams are taking at howard seemingly every game.

Not sure what you could get for him. He's definitely on the decline and if we could get a great young player for him I'd say do it - but I doubt you'd get much more than picks and some filler on him.
It seems Dwight is struggling with the alley oop this year. Sometimes the pass is thrown, but Dwight doesn't jump. Sometimes it looks like Dwight isn't looking for the pass.
Has it occurred to anyone that Dwight has taken a different approach this season? He's averaging more rebounds, more blocks and still playing defense at an elite level. Sure his points are down but we are also not feeding him the ball in the post where he is not efficient. He's doing all the little things that win games. Mix in an offensive night like last night and we are in great shape. Too many bs fans on here.
Maybe because no one on the team can consistently throw the alley oop to him, except for Thornton and Lawson. James throws them okay but all of his alley oop throws are floating throws that sometimes pretty inconsistent in placement. Dwight needs alleys oops that are more direct passes with some zip on them. He doesn't have as much hang time as he used to so those floating lob passes throw off his jump.
20m a year for a guy that plays every other game - and is in decline. He can still play - but it is only when he wants to play, and needs far too much rest. If he wants to play next year for 10m a year, then sure, but he is no longer an elite player, which is the topic of this thread. DD

Yes, it's 'magic' and has nothing to do with what the Spurs have mastered and every team in the NBA now copies - making sure that players are rested and healthy to go full speed in the playoffs. NOPE!
It is not a surprise that the Rockets chose to rest him against Dallas - A PLAYOFF TEAM - and play him against Sacremento a scrub team albiet with a good center. I prefer my MAX players to play both. DD
