    LOL - now they are whining about the media? Their job is to talk about the Rockets....

    But if that makes an us against them mentality work then sure.

    I've been drinking and I am about to crash...as in sleep, I am not drinking and driving, for clarification... Just wanted to spill out everything I am thinking even though I know nobody cares. TL;DR.

    :grin::grin::grin:

    Man, I am seriously on cloud 9 right now. Never been to a game solo, but I had a better time than many of the games I have been to in the last few years. Certainly better than the Griz game I went to in Hou.

    My takeaway from the team:

    Harden played much better. I didn't notice nearly as many lackadaisical defensive plays (can only remember one). He played less minutes it seemed. We finally shot the three ball well to start the game. Our defensive was improved, but we still let too many second chance points. I haven't looked at the stats, just remembering being frustrated multiple times at our inability to complete a rebound.

    TJones, while he had a lot of good moments, had some rookie bonehead mistakes. That one play when he got the rebound on a missed 3 by Matthews and Matthews came from behind and snagged the rebound out of a two hand gripped....ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

    You are a PF TJ! Play strong!

    Which reminds me...these flagrant plays...are we the most flagrant team? Seems like we get these stupid cheap shot flagrants every other game. Usually on Dwight.

    While I'm on Dwight...glad we won, but unless Cousins is playing, it makes no sense to have Dwight play against the Kings on a back to back. Assuming he is physically capable of going either of the two back to backs. Dallas is a divisional rival and a better team. Though they don't have a good center, Zaza is a good sized C who can rebound and do the dirty work.

    What else....oh the Mavs fans...

    The crowd was not that loud until the last few minutes. I could hear a decent amount of clapping when Houston scored, but didn't notice an awful lot of red.

    No dirty looks, comments, or gestures from opposing fans. All class. I wasn't obnoxious, but I clapped and such after anything we did. I have been to Spurs games where their fans say and do bad things.

    Stadium is really nice, compared to Toyota Center. I wish we had a stadium like theirs. The brick exterior reminds me of Minute Maid Park or Arlington Field. Though I wouldn't wanna pay the increased taxes, I can't wait till the Rockets get a new stadium -- however long down the road that is. I hate Toyota Center. So ugly imo.
    Does Beverley's mom go to the games? I feel like there was this lady in my section who I have seen at games before. She was wearing a Bev jersey and stood up cheering whenever he scored.

    My blow didnt read your post before that one. At first glance I took it as what's ghe point in making the playoffs if we got to play GSW in 1st round.

    Now that I re-read it I see you ment the exact opposite and I completely agree. To be the best you have to beat the best I want to play GSW ant round because I think we can beat them at full strength. Might not be easy but we have the talent and superstar to do it.

    This is not the year to be saying things like this. Rockets earned all the scorn and ridicule.

    Pretty nice win, first time I've said that since the Clipper game.

    Best thing was Harden didn't have to score 40 to do it.

    Ariza, Jones and Beverley all with nice games.

    Lawson played okay but still needs to be more aggressive, we will never reach our potential until he changes his mentality.

    I want Thornton playing over Brewer, but it looks like JB really has a hard on for Brewer, I guess he's just his guy.

    We have a long way to go before they play up to expectations before this season, but it looks like we are getting a little better so that's good.

    @Jonathan_Feigen:
    Trevor Ariza on Rockets' ball movement in 4th quarter: "When we move the ball, when we’re sharing the ball, we’re a pretty dangerous team."

    JBB on winning 4 of 5: "We continue to find a way. We’re starting to get our identity right now. I think that’s the most important thing.”

    More JBB: "We’re in a hole. We’re not where we want to be. We’re 9-11. Our competition is playing well. This is nothing. It’s just 1 game."

    Weird thing is, despite damage of Rockets' 1st month and ground to make up with so many home losses, back to 8th in West, 2 games from 4th.

    Beverly was 4/4 from 3 in the first quarter. How about that?

    Yeah luckily the West is in shambles except for GSW and Spurs

    Clippers and OKC have not found their groove yet either

    He set the tone early. I remember him doing this a lot when we stormed out of the gates at the beginning of last season.

    Thankfully, aside from the champs, the rest of the West hasn't been so hot, either.

    We won without Dwight, and with Harden 1-6 from 3 point land. Capela had a poor game. I would love to see Lawson at his best. Great to see Bev in Wolverine mode.

    Slow progress is better than none, we have a long way to go.
