Abomination Cave Troll Doomsday - Superman v Batman DoomsDay Smallville The Faces of DOOMsday Rocket River
I was actually enjoying that trailer more than Civil War...up until the very end. Even if the major plot lines are pretty well known, why must studios so often reveal so much in trailers these days?
Fixed no spoiler. _____ <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/CMVugzohlwA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Basing this solely of the latest trailer but man Jesse Eisenberg was a horrible miscast for Lex Luthor. I got more Joker/Riddler vibes than Lex freaking Luthor
Terrible. Eisenberg as Lex. You have got to be kidding me. He ****ing sucks. Ruined the whole ****ing movie. Also, what a crappy trailer. Thanks for the cliff note version of the entire movie. Lulz.....
He seemed like a miscast from the first day. Then at Comic Con he acted like he hated having anything to do with the movie. Anyway that fan made fixed trailer is much better than the real one.
Strong rumor is that Eisenberg is actually Alexander Luthor Jr. and not the Lex you know, but his son. That would explain his behavior. If he's actually the classic Lex Luthor, his characterization is way off. But either way, I don't really care. If it's entertaining, I'll be fine no matter what they do. I don't care if it's true to anything. Just be good.
The Star Wars trailer was universally praised because it gave away so little, I was hoping studios would follow suit, but nope. Another movie cliffnotes trailer. Does anybody want to see this movie more because they revealed all of these plot details? I hated Man of Steel, so I wasn't too thrilled about this in the first place, but the earlier teaser trailer where Batman and Superman were at each others throats was much, much more effective at grabbing my interest.
He could do well in that role if he can make him dark and twisted instead. I really like the guy who plays Riddler in Gotham too.
WB execs seem to have a complex, they need to show off all their bells and whistles and squeeze as many heroes in as possible in a short timespan to flex their nuts at Marvel and prove that they're relevant. They're late to the super hero team-up parade and are desperately trying to cash-in while the iron is hot. Not saying it'll be a bad movie, but that's how the execs are treating it.
Don't really get what that means? But I'm talking about the execs and the reasoning behind the trailer not the quality of the movie. The things I said are true. Star Wars doesn't have to reveal anything, they're bluechip with 30 years of movie history. All DC has right now is a Man of Steele movie rated like 60% on Rotten Tomatoes and a Flash TV show. Batman trilogy was flushed down the toilet.
A couple of months ago, it became known WB was going to release a major trailer for this movie ~2 weeks before Star Wars because it would be their last shot at gaining attention for a while. Marvel didn't cause this. I agree with you on the desperation aspect. A mega-successful Star Wars franchise could not only smash DC's attempt to play catch up, it could puncture a hole in Marvel's revenue. There is a large appetite for sci-fi and superheroes, but I doubt Star Wars, Marvel and DC can all thrive at the same time.
