You just answered your own question. It's a schmaltzy corporate rock turd wrapped in phony authenticity. It's a song that name checks music from the 1960s counter culture while representing everything the 1960s counter culture was against.

 

Maybe they don't consider rap actual music. That would make sense.

I completely agree- what a bunch of ****ing morons- Sounds of Silence, The End- are you ****ing kidding me??? Seriously, a bunch of dumbasses who probably grew up in the 2000s and think Kanye West is the pinnacle of musical artistry. Utterly worthless list.

 

Outside of a handful of these it looks like a fun playlist.

 

a lot of those songs aren't in the worst category. the list loses credibility by not including that annoying eurodance "blue" song.

Hotel California is the single worst song in history.

 

Everyone should hate the Eagles (outside of 1 or maybe 2 songs), but Desperado is a much, much ****tier song than Hotel California. And Hotel California is an incredibly ****ty song.

I agree with most of those songs. The order might be slightly off, but by and large it's a pretty good list.

For those that are defending the Eagles in this thread. Just start singing to yourself in a quiet whisper:
