yeah its a myth why he took less money and went to the clips. could be a casual decision or could be sth. else. cal. isnt his home state, iirc...

I know ya'll are gonna argue this back and forth ad infinitum, but did Morey actually offer the $2.5 million, a solid offer, or was it Morey saying to Josh's agent, "Really, the most we can offer is $2.5 million, if you want to mull that over with Josh, see how he thinks about it," but telling the ESPN dude that, "Oh yeah, the offer was made."

Looking like you're interested but actually waffling in hopes another deal is made.

One thing is for sure. Josh Smith can be maddening (he was jacking and missing three pointers in last night's Clippers loss) and he shoots free throws as if with sprained wrists, but we miss his passing and his defense.

I'm pretty sure Josh was butthurt when the re-signing of KJ took so long, and we wouldn't know how much more than $2.5M we could pay Josh until we knew what we were paying KJ. Josh, never one to use rational thinking and logic when he could instead let his emotions take over, felt like he was being disrespected by the Rockets and decided to walk.

i also have never understood why kj was such a priority. to me he's the 10th, 11th man on the roster. maybe morey saw/sees sth. in him that i dont.

I'm so ****ing tired of hearing whiny losers on this forum pining for Josh Smith.

Dude was great half the time. And a complete disaster the other half.
Get over it. He chose to leave. He's gone. He's not walking through that door.

I highly doubt Josh Smith is the reason the Rockets chemistry is bad.

completely agree. People want to spin it into some drama. who cares. it was his decision. he put this on himself. he's always been a low IQ player and it's no surprise his numbers are completely terrible on the clips. of course he's had his moments here but I for one don't miss all the boneheaded plays from him.

Chemistry is bad because we're not winning. We're not winning because Dmo is out

Dunno, but I think keeping Josh and adding Ty could have been great for this team. I don't understand why Ty hasn't been able to figure things out. We used to run. Ty used to run. Should have worked out well. Add Josh to that, another play maker and a better version of T Jones imo, could have been our 3rd play maker.

Locker room issues is the only thing that makes sense to me for our current woes. But rebuilding chemistry takes time, maybe we will figure it out. We certainly hope so...

Has Ty Lawson not played a good couple of games recently?

He played very well last night. The game before was better than the rest before, but still not what I expected of him.

Like I said, maybe they're starting to figure it out. But one game, even 2,3, or 10 games isn't necessarily indicative of him finding his place. Consistency is key.

James Harden carried the team last year, no doubt about that. But I really do think Dmo's absence has taken a toll.

While Harden kept the team alive, Dmo kept the middle in control while Dwight was out. Without Dmo, Harden would have had to do much much more. So while, Dmo isn't the sole or even the main reason we went far last year, he deserves a great deal of credit.

I for one think his absence in the WCF took away any chance we had of competing with GS in the WCF.

Bold statement. I don't know what to believe, but a situation like that could clearly cause issues in the locker room and a fracture on a team. You can't do that and you really can't do that when you are a team leader.

So when the Rockets say "Not the same team" from last year, that could be part of it. Or not.

Didn't LeBron go on a funk for a while when teammate Delonte West hooked up with LeBron's mom? Or was that just some made up rumor?

I won't quote a rumor monger, but the implication that has been put forth is ridiculous.

If adultery in any shape or form had taken place and created a fracture in the team as was indicated - why would josh have ever entertained returning? Why wouldn't Dwight have been vocal about the poor treatment of one of his good friends?

Rumors like this are so horrible because you can't prove what never happended and people always want to grasp for a black and white reason why things take place.

Because it lends credence to the conspiracy theorists' assertion there's a rift between Howard and Harden.

Right, because transparency is such a thing in the NBA. Lol @ Dwight voicing his issues, etc., you do realize these guys are trained to go over this **** right? You think you would've known about Derek Fisher & Matt Barnes, if Fisher did not go running to the cops? That made it public. No way it surfaces if Fisher did not make a police report about it. LOTS of private stuff happens between these players, you have no freaking idea.

There's so much **** you do not know, I do not know, and heck even high ranking executives in the league do not know about other teams. One of the best kept teams in regarding privacy is our very own Rockets.

Believe what you want, or don't want to that. That's fine.

It'll all come out in due time. I'm sure there are plenty of other stories out there I do not know, but again, it'll all come out in due time.
