Here we go... Trade 1 Houston out: Lawson Houston in: Jack/Bogdanovic/Brown Brooklyn out: Jack/Bogdanovic/Brown Brooklyn in: Lawson Trade 2 Houston out: McDaniels/Jones Houston in: Frye Orlando out: Frye Orlando in: McDaniels/Jones Beverley/Jack/...Terry Harden/Thornton/Bogdanovic/........................................Brown Ariza/Thornton/Brewer................................Dekkar Dmo/Frye/Capela/............Harrell Dwight/Capela/Dmo
I like it as a fit and I think we'd have a great defense on guards if Bev could stay healthy. I think Boston would require Harrell or less likely Dekker too. However, I prefer Isiah Thomas and the direction that takes us based on his contract and his scoring. I would totally love to have Avery Bradley (good contract too) and his 3&D but I just believe AB 2.0 (aka Issiah Thomas) is what this team needs.
If we aren't going to play defense anyway we might as well get a stretch 4. Capela Dwight dmo and another stretch is a damn good way to go
Tonight he took 4 charges, and scored like 14 points, but still was awful on multiple defensive possessions and went 3 for 12 from the field. Brewer has been by far the worst player for us this season, and when he is the 2nd highest contract that isn't expiring this season, that's a problem. Dump Brewer for cap space.
Send Mcdaniels and t.jones to orlando for channing frye. If needed add a 2nd. Gives Houston the stretch 4 it needs and gives Orlando a young wing which they seem to lack and a replacement for frye for the remainder of the year. I think frye in this system would blossom off the bench when dmo gets back and likely as a starter until then.
why not harden is better player but similar, cause Griffin has the defense houston needs. Then we get 2 hot 3pt shooters for ty expiring. Hell thow in tjones, 1st round pick and a bag of chips...
Who in their right mind would take Brewer off our hands? He might be the worst player in the league to get big minutes. He's been a disaster.
Right. And Mcdaniels is worse than everyone of them. But the Magic is at an interesting point and it's obvious they will be involved in a trade. Just not with the Rockets. In a vacuum this is an overpayment for Frye who only last year was a negative contract, however Skiles has made him work (because they are in desperate need of spacing.). It has been "leaked" that hes available, now I'm starting to wonder if it's still the case. Skiles has a lot of input on their decisions and he's the owners handpicked choice and good friend. 2-3 teams. If you pay them a first that is. Better wait next summer see how he does and then try to bring the price down from one first to two high seconds. Or perhaps trash for trash. A bigger contract that expires earlier? It will depend on a lot of things like what we do in FA and who we trade by then.
Who did we beat last year in the playoffs? oh right... Who's a title contender in the West that has Blake Griffin? Oh right... What does shuffling up chemistry do? oh
