Shocking that it is multiple officers involved and took steps to cover it up. Our police force across the country is clearly need in reform. Rape and murders in multiple departments.

It's just really really sad.

 

Let's take race completely out of this. Let's even disregard the excessive shooting (as you feel it might have been warranted due to the person's suspicious actions). Do you have any response to the subsequent cover-up by the police? Would love to hear how you can possibly spin that.

 

I haven't seen all the facts presented on any cover-up. I haven't once mentioned the race of the perp in this incident. I'm not sure why it's relevant.

Everything in this story is so messed up. From the murder, to the coverup of the investigation by all facets of government, that is so disgusting. I hope the Feds completely clean house. Chicago seems corrupt.

I wish I could say I was surprised. Makes me wonder how many other crimes committed by officers in that department have been covered up.

 

My buddy is a defense attorney. Granted, he defends some shady characters, but the cops and feds do some pretty shady, sloppy, and not legal stuff as well. He consistently runs into law enforcement that doesn't know the law.

I just went to court today on a Secual Assault of a Child I investigated in 2012. Judicial Govenment does absolutely nothing quickly. They really seem to stretch out the scope of Due Process.

It is Chicago; no one their cares what happened to a black man.

The mayor is corrupt, the district attorney is corrupt... The police force is corrupted and extremely powerful politically.... The politicians in the poor black areas of Chicago are crooked and don't really care about their community. The church leaders are usually paid to turn a blind eye as well. The media covers all these clowns and as if they speak for the black community.

All that happens is the news covers the event for a few days, the mayor and police chief promise changes and nothing happens.

 

If it's as bad as common knowledge, what can be done to change it?
