I've always like Jack since Georgia Tech, he's a bald Pat Bev. I wish he was a better shooter but he fits exactly what we need at point and Rodmonavic reminds me a lot of Tomjonavic, a tough guy that can shoot. **** while they're at it throw in Dwight for Lopez

Agree, despite him playing like crap right now, it would be way too much emphasis to put so much trust into Dmo, who knows how well he will play or how healthy he'll be. Whole team is playing like crap and why would you trade a big for small when you already lacking bigs ;o

Dmo isn't ready to get heavy minutes...and although they're starting Capela, I'm guessing they don't want him playing heavy minutes at the 4 long term....so if jones is on the table, then we must be getting another 4 somewhere. I doubt they trust Harrell to take the job.

 

Nets really need a point guard, they have nothing to lose. They're probably the only team that values Lawson now.
Also F.U. all who don't want Jones to be included. That guy has NO trade value, he makes Rockets worse every time he's on the court. F.U. really guys.

Dude is shooting .260 from 3PT..... last season .355.

He appears to be defensive liability as well.

Bogdanovic is pretty solid. Wonder what other teams DM is talking to. Hopefully the Pels for Anderson.

 

Can't believe they would give up on Ty so quickly. This would be a knee-jerk move. They guy looked pretty dang good in the limited minutes he got the other night.

 

Jarrett Jack gets $6.3 million this year and has a team option for $6.3 million next year.

Bojan Bogdanovic gets $3.4 million this year, $3.5 million next year, and has a qualifying offer of $4.4 million for 2017-2018.

So at least those aren't bad contracts.

 

In the Rockets current system, the I think Jack would compliment Harden very well - much better than Lawson, at least.

Don't know much about Bogdanovic.

Sad that it doesn't appear that the Rockets really ever tried to change/adjust the 'system' in order to maximize Lawson's talents and abilities. Don't know if that's a coaching thing or a Morey thing. Square peg in round hole.

 

Bogdanovic had 20 points 9 rebounds 3 assists against Rockets this season. All 3 numbers are his season highs. All against Rockets He also had positive plus minus the last two games. 2 games total this season
I gotta admit I said he was Nets' best shooter without checking, just repeating what our broadcasters said during that game

 

Lawson isn't so horrible....

He just doesn't fit with Harden and it makes no sense to go out and get another pg unless you are going to change Harden.

Its probably fair value right now, but I'd hold out for Ty to improve rather than make this trade.

And if we do need to move past Ty, you've got to get better shooters than those guys:

Gary Neal and Nene Hilario for Ty Lawson and TJones

Calderon and O'Quinn for Lawson and TJones

Anderson and Cole for Lawson and TJones

I actually think the last one could make a lot of sense for both teams. Anderson and Cole are on expirings and would provide good depth. Lawson would get to run the show in New Orleans and TJones would be reunited with Davis.

 

I'm not thrilled with this trade, but both players are likely gone after this season anyway so might as well get something for them.
