He's having one hell of a season. Another epic fail by Morey.

I won't say it was a "huge mistake", but I never understood keeping Garcia over Covington

    He is shooting .364 FG% and .296 3pt%

I thought we were looking for shooters.

He missed his first 18 three pointers this season. Maybe he's getting hot, now.

Covington is certainly a difference maker. The 76ers wouldn't be doing all of this winning without him. Epic failure letting this stud go.

Hindsight is 20/20 but Covington is a better fit then any of the SFs on the current roster.

bs. He want a stud or even a fridge NBA player when he was here or in RGV. That's like saying we missed out on a stud in Whiteside. You wanted Morey to stash Covington on this team for two seasons? How do you think he became a better player? Playing time. There's lots of that on that garbage Philly team.

Sarcasm detector not working tonight? I thought the line about all of the winning gave it away without the eyeroll emoji.

I think an NBA player can afford a fridge.

    This.

You guys saw how well he shot against us and he has kept it up. If he becomes a very good shooter then he will realize the potential our front office saw when they picked him up. I like what I'm seeing.

Spurs gave us Scola for an executive. Sometimes things don't workout. Happens to everyone. All of the former Rockets doing well in this league is a testament to Morey's eye for talent. And there are a TON of them. Ish Smith is an assists leader. Whiteside is a blocks leader. Lowry is a steals leader. Morey's pissed on every fire hydrant there is.

Jesus Christ. Nobody here wanted him. Morey gets credit for finding him first, signing him, and giving him two offseasons to get decent. Instead dude was utter crap in the summer league and preseason.

It was stupid wasting a roster spot on a dleague prospect when we were contending.

And some say he pissed on Lin's fire hydrant, too, and put out Linsanity.

So the problem is our coaching staff unable to get the best out of them? Or we'd rather stick with better known names ie Brewer & Terry than give a kid with potential a chance?
Lucky for Okafor he didn't come to Houston.

He's probably only a rotation player on the 76ers, but let's be honest, would he be any worse than Brewer?

    Very weak comment.

Ish Smith is a career 39% FGs and 27% 3s, playing backup PG on a 4-13 team with the best PF in the NBA. And this is his 9th NBA team in 5 years. So that's 9 head coaches.

The Rockets and Adelman clearly got more out of Lowry than Memphis did. Unfortunately he was a little petulant when he came back from his weird, infection injury and didn't get his started job back right away because McHale was getting the most out of Dragic, who took over. So, Lowry bolted in FA.

Whiteside is just an anomaly, who apparently woke up 4yrs after he was drafted despite the efforts of both the Kings and the Grizzlies, as well as the Rockets, and others. Most call this a "light bulb" going off in a gifted player who lacked effort and had an attitude for several years, who knew his days were numbered to make it in the NBA.

And if we look at all Morey's draft picks, most players had their best years on the Rockets.
