Rumor: Houston seeing if there is trade market for Ty Lawson

i put all this at the feet of harden and howard to a lesser extent. as the "leaders" of this team they need to be the ones demanding more from not only themselves but their teammates and it seems pretty damn obvious that neither one has the inclination to do so. we all knew that in order for the lawson experiment to work he would need to be held accountable and that harden would more than likely need to be the one to hold him to it.

Interesting. At 3.4 mil Bogdanovic is sort of a weird trade fit for a Rockets trade with the contracts we have.

Maybe Jack and Bog's for Brewer (& maybe a small salary player if we even have one... Terry... I don't think so). Sheds the final year off of Brewer's deal. Next year is a team option on Jack's deal as well so only salary you are taking back is Bog's deal next year guaranteed.

Pretty sure no one will be interested in Brewer's contact with how he played this year.

As bad as TJ played this year, he still has a much higher value than Brewer regarding his right and future.

Unless Morey will be determined to totally rebuild this roster (which I highly doubt he will do it), the best bet for this team to make any kind of improvement will be trading TJ or one of the rookies this year away and get a role player shooter.

But even if that will happen, you are not getting Ryan Anderson or Ersan Ilyasova that type of quality players.

20 games ago many fans here referring Lawson could be the best PG for this franchise since Calvin Murphy and for sure the cornerstone for this franchise the next 10 years too.

To be fair, he was also clearing cap space because he was trying to woo Bosh.

 

Lawson+Brewer+Jones works for Johnson+Bogdanovic

Not saying it'd be great - but lets us ditch a contract, gives Brooklyn some talent, and we get to kick the tyres on Johnson and see if he has anything left for one last run.

So basically he's a perfect fit

 

He's a legit shooter.

We have like 0 of those on our roster.

Terry can shoot but once he's got a good 10 minutes into the game and his legs are shot from attempting to play defense that 3 point shot stops falling.

We need more sharpshooters if we're truly going to play the 3 and D game the way the Warriors do.

 

Agreed. Career 34% three point shooter currently shooting at 26%. No thanks.
