Donatas Motiejunas cleared to return to Rockets practice

It is obvious he's not one of the guys who tries harder just because it's his contract year. Like Ariza.

 

i'm sure it will help.. but how much will this really help? d-mo isnt gonna make us give more effort all of a sudden. still need harden to get his head of out of his ass before this team is any good. i dont care that we shoot like crap but the effort has to be there. other teams might not be as talented or even more talented than us, but i'm so sick of being outworked.

If they put DMo on the bench, it means he'll play center with Jones at PF off the bench. I don't want DMo to play center.

 

DMo's 1st practice is Thursday. In the past McHale wouldn't play a player until they had a practice under their belt. Considering the 'sense of urgency' these days, will be interesting to see if they forgo that and throw DMO out there on Wednesday.

Also worth noting, I read that with the Rockets 5 games in 7 day stretch, even though DH was cleared to play in back-to-backs, he would sit out 1 of these 5 games. So, getting DMo back now is nice timing. I am guessing Howard sits out either Fri or Sat.

 

Also good is that our shedule is extremely soft until 18 Dec. We play 2x the Lakers and Sac etc. That will help DMO get intergrated slowly and no need to rush him too much with too many minutes.

 

Actually DMo made everyone play harder last season, McHale literally said it during interview last year. His efforts were contagious.
Also, if Haren continues to play like crap, JBB will have someone to go to while teaching Haren a lesson on the bench.

Dude, no. Broadcasters said like yesterday, that DMo should be back in 3 weeks. That's a specific timetable after having no timetable. It's definitely not going to be Wednesday.

 

I really hope bickerstaff gives Dmo some burn tomorrow! The way things have been going lately I wouldn't be too surprised if he does. He tried everything yesterday when nothing was working.

 

Great news, finally a two way player coming to the team, he will allow folks to play their role and make the entire team better.

Will take time to integrate him though.

I'd still start him once he comes back and work on the chemistry ASAP. Not saying to throw big minutes at him but get a solid 4 rotation down between him and TJ to where everyone finally knows their rolls and build from there.

 

i thought Ariza played pretty well last year in a non-contract year. especially the playoffs.
