Trade everyone except DMo and Capela... and possibly Harrell and McDaniels.

    #pursuit

If the Rockets were #pursuing being the laughingstock of the NBA...

    ...then good job.

Dwights ego won't let this happen. He will look for at least 20 a year next year if not the max

Now before I say this let me say James Harden is my favorite player in the league so this isn't coming from a place of strictly hate. But I want him gone. He's too good to let go and it won't happen. But I can't stand watching a player give lackluster effort night in and night out. I just don't get what happens when they go back and study film and a player who wants to be great doesn't change up after seeing this time and time again

I'm not in the "I've grown to hate Brewer" crowd! I think 'Monopoly Man" will regain his composure and be a quality ASSET :)grin:) to this team! The salary cap is going to go up significantly next season and 8mill, although not chump change won't seem so lucrative.

I didn't vote on the poll (left the voting card at home), but any combination of Lawson/Jones/Dekker would satisfy my desire to hopefully improve the team, heck I would even include Beverly at this point, he's not this scrappy player making minimum salary anymore!

(P.S) UNTIL we get a legitimate alpha coach who can rein in Hardens prima-donna tendencies on defense, I WOULD TRADE Morey/Alexander!!! This team is only going to go as far as Harden leads them! IF Morey/Alexander can't see that an ALPHA coach is needed then THEY ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM AS WELL!!!!

Until we get an ALPHA coach, this is what's going on...

Les Alexander is actually getting MORE of this ....

seriously, i'm not sure if they actually watch tapes.

the texans were having a bye week, things were not going so well. and they were interviewing johnathan joseph on radio and asking him what he'd be doing during his time off.

joseph answered (paraphrasing):"oh, just staying home w/ my families and study a lot of films."

any of the current rockets seems to have that kinda professionalism and dedication? i think not.

February? It will be too late to make a trade in order for the team to make it to the playoffs. The organization needs to make a move before the February deadline.

    Solid post.

I still think we need to trade Lawson's expiring for something of value... I'm sure Morey can dig something up as he's done so in the past.

    Voted for TJones obviously.

Glad Morey at the head of the ship. He'll right it.

terrence jones is making 2.5m and he's performing at that level. Why does he get more votes than KJ 3m, Brewer 8m, Bev 6.5m, Ariza 8m. Let's not forget rockets success hinges on our corner stone players not a 2.5m player.

Ship out to get back what?
I don't want Brew on the team but if it's to ship him out and have to pony up serious assets in a salary dump because his value is one of the top 10 worst contracts in the league as is the case atm, I rather keep him for now and hope he manages to play better.

What do you think would happen to the Thunder if we traded Lawson, Ariza, Brewer, Bev, Jones, and McDaniels to them for Enes, Serge, Waiters, Adams, Augustin and Singler????

What do you think would happen to us if we made that trade????

A championship team's success DOES hinge on BOTH their cornerstone players AND their role players. Just ask Lebron and Dirk and every superstar that has both won and lost championships.

Without knowing what's going on behind the scenes, I can't choose a player. If Harden is the root of most of our problems, then I would be in favor of trying to flip him for a massive haul of young talent and draft picks.

Morey and the coaches have to know if our problems are just what we see on the court, or if there are personality conflicts going on off the court. I've never seen a team go from the penthouse to the outhouse so quickly. So, I would be in favor of drastic changes if that's what it takes.

We have Capela and DMo as a young core to build around. Add in some other young talent and we are on our way to a rebuild.

IMO if rockets and thunder swap role players, both team would perform at around the same level as before.

I agree both cornerstone players and role players are important. My point is there are several other players that deserve to be shipped before TJ and his 2.5m contract.
