Seems to prefer former players even if they are not that good: Mallet, Hoyer, Wilfork all ex-Patriots. Hack is the same.

Could turn out well. Who knows.

And how do you know they will not draft a QB in the first round without knowing the draft position, who will be available at the slot, how Hoyer does the rest of the season, who declares for the draft, etc...?

All the QB'S you guys are looking at are the same or worse than the ones we already have.

The Texans......one thing I do know......they dont reach for players. They have never reached on a player in the first or 2nd round. It looks like the Texans will draft lower than 15. Any QB worth a first round pick will be gone by then (there are only 2 really...maybe 3. You have a huge hole at RB. There will be a few RBs worth a lower first round pick. Also you could use another WR or LB if you get rid of Cushing. There are other needs to fill instead of reaching for a QB.

Damn, I really wish Ohio State had stayed with Cardale Jones at QB because I enjoy watching them lose.

Hack throws a pick and then Cook drives his team for a TD.

I don't get this line of thinking. People always call for teams to draft QBs in the mid rounds and develop them for a couple of years. So the Texans do just that, and not even two years into sitting and learning, people already write the guy off. Now, I'm the first to argue that trying to find a QB after round 2 is like finding a needle in a haystack, but you can't simultaneously advocate drafting a developmental QB and then discount the guy when he hasn't had a chance to develop yet.

Weird thing to wish for, given that that they've never lost a game he's played in.

They knew better than to play a scrub like that against the few better than garbage teams they played this season.

All coaches do this. Not saying BoB doesn't prefer Hack but don't see how all of his choices the last 2 seasons indicate taking a particular player in the 2016 draft.

I like how everybody was saying that OB should trade for Matt McGloin because he had him at Penn State, AND HE DID . . . oh, wait, no he didn't.

In the 2 drafts since OB has been here, 6 Penn State players have been drafted. None by the Texans. 5 more have been signed as undrafted free agents, none by the Texans.

Out of these PSU players, how many did BOB personally recruit? Also, QB is a different position in which the Texans are in need of and of which BOB is reported to be a guru of. All of the QBs that the Texans have brought in with the exception of a few last minute panic signings due to injury have had a connection with BOB either through the Patriots or through year 1 as a Kubiak left over. BOB seems to reach for his ex-players who really aren't that good such as all of the ex-Patriot guys. Hence which is why I think in one way or another Hack will be here next year.

Tom Savage can't stay healthy. Gets sacked and gets injured. Can't even beat out Mallet and Hoyer to be in the conversation for a starter. My guess is that he really isn't that good.
