I honestly don't want Thibs to Houston because I think he's highly overrated here....that said, if Bickerstaff isn't smart enough to bench Corey Brewer for being the worst player on the roster, Thibs couldn't do worse.

Steve Kerr would be all 0s before he was hired as a HC of warriors

I doubt they'll burn JB like that...if Thibs is really already a lock, he's going to wait out the season or probably keep some of the staff.

This is what people here are missing and ignoring. How was Kerr ready to be a head coach? Let alone one who would win a championship so quickly?

Sometimes it pays to think a little differently.

And this is what happens with Thibs in Chicago. That intensity crap sounds good to fans. But the players have to deal with that 82 games plus post season. All the while, they play long minutes and feel their knees and bodies taking too much strain because of the coaches style.

And if you don't like the current Rocket offense, you are not gonna love Thibs' creative genius on that end. Hero ball all day. Wore Rose down.

And as The Freak pointed out: the Rockets had a better defense than might Thibs had in his last gig.

I would much rather see the Rockets find fresh blood than run a re-thread. Who? I don't know. I am just a fan. And idiot know **** about coaching candidates.

I agree with the concept of thinking differently. One thing we also have to remember is Steve Kerr played for the 2 best coaches in the past 20yrs of basketball (Pop & PJax). Also, was an assistant under Pop for a little while. So as far as "experience" I'd say Steve Kerr has some of the most "experience" in winning in the league.

He also surrounded himself with two elite, experienced assistants in Adams and Gentry.
