Amazing what very little "Talent" and a ton of chemistry and heart can do for a team.

There's no way you loved this team, and can be a fan of this current formation of the Rockets.

Why'd you have to go ruin my night.

I remember this series like it was yesterday.

Had all my friends over for Game 1 and was going ballistic at the end.

Would trade this no heart team in an instant for that squad.

I can handle the less talent since they made up for it in spades with their heart, effort and desire.

Then you should probably not visit any team message board ever.

Harden is improving, but no one else came out to play, baring Capela. There is no hope for Lawson, that is the biggest concern of all. I wouldn't be surprised if Philly win against us.

You only come around when we the losses happen. Harden has no control on other people doing there jobs. Sit in the corner.

I think Harden complaining about not getting MVP pissed off his teammates. Because by saying that he says his teammates were crap and he was the one who carried them last season. Truth is his fat ass was carried on defense. Guy who doesn't play defense can't lead a team to WCF and 2nd seed in west on his own. He should have given credit to his team rather than b****ing how he was robbed of MVP.

Does it make sense that McHale's entire coaching staff was as clueless as he was? Defensive (Bickerstaff) and Offensive (Finch) coordinators pretty much sucked as well. Get rid of them and hire Tom Thibideau and a whole new staff to surround them. Fine Harden for associating with the Kardashians. Any type of communication has to cease.

Re-watched the game from last due to Terry's comments. It definitely looks like Lawson isn't even trying out there with his limited opportunities. For whatever reason.

It's hard to support someone that doesn't even try. Lets see what happens in the next game.

    • James Harden kept the Rockets in the game, scoring 36 points through three quarters, but the Grizzlies were not about to let him reach 50 without at least changing things up. They sent the predictable and familiar double-teams Harden saw through last season and Harden shifted to doing what he did against those defenses last season, giving up the ball early in the shot clock to let his teammates go four-on-three. That worked well last season, especially when his first pass was to either Donatas Motiejunas or Josh Smith at the top of the key, in position to attack the lane off the dribble or pass, or to send passes back out to the 3-point line to open shooters. He even moved the ball early enough in the shot clock to get it back if the Rockets’ ball movement forced the Grizzlies’ defense to leave him. The Grizzlies, however, rushed into the lane to cover for Marc Gasol’s help on Harden. Dwight Howard could not get free, taking just one fourth-quarter shot in between trips to the line. That all left Rockets shooters open, but they did not make a shot until just 2:01 was remaining. Some of that is just a matter of poor shooting. The Rockets have made just 29.6 percent of their 3s this season, the worst 3-point shooting in the NBA. They insist those are good shots, shots the same players have made before. But they are left open for a reason. The Grizzlies opted to defend Harden and the lane, and then take their chances at the 3-point line. The Rockets never made them pay. Harden finished with his fourth 40-point game of the season, tied with Stephen Curry for the most in the NBA. He has the most 40-point games of the past two seasons. But when it was time for someone else to make a shot, no one did until it was too late.

    • The Rockets had thought they traded for a solution when opposing defenses take the ball out of Harden’s hands. The acquisition of Ty Lawson was supposed to allow him to move the ball to another playmaker to break down a defense and create looks too good to miss. When the Grizzlies shifted their defense to swarm Harden, Lawson was on the bench, no longer enough of a part of the Rockets’ rotation to help. Lawson has struggled so greatly that when Pat Beverley returned from his ankle injury, Jason Terry remained the starting point guard and Beverley moved in as the backup. Lawson was relegated to a few minutes in a backcourt with Beverley to start the second quarter, quickly returned to the bench and never saw the floor again as he went scoreless for a second consecutive game. The Rockets hope that by playing Lawson with the second team, he can be the playmaker he does not often get to be when playing with Harden. Beverley would head to the corners, as he does with Harden, and Lawson would be able to create in the middle of the floor. But Lawson has struggled so badly, making just 31.6 percent of his shots, he is barely holding on to a place in the rotation at all. By the fourth quarter, when the Rockets needed another playmaker, Lawson was an afterthought. He would have been in a position to handle the ball and create off the dribble, rather than being stuck in a catch-and-shoot role that has not worked well for him with Harden. But even on a team struggling so badly to put the ball in the basket, the player the Rockets acquired for just such occasions was not considered a solution to a growing problem.

    • The Rockets don’t need a Sixth Man of the Year, but they could use something off the bench. If that was not clear, former Rockets guard Courtney Lee offered a reminder. When both teams struggled to start the fourth quarter, Lee scored six quick points, steadying the Grizzlies before Marc Gasol could get back on the floor. The Rockets have seen this often, from Will Barton to Raymond Felton. As nice as it would be to have an instant offense scorer off the bench that puts up numbers every night, it would be enough just to have someone step up. Instead, Lee scored as many points (17) as the entire Rockets bench. In 15 games, the Rockets reserves have been outscored 15 times. The Rockets bench is averaging just 24 points per game on 38.5 percent shooting, ranking them 29th in the NBA in both. The Rockets reserves have been outscored by 11 points per 100 possessions, ranking 28th. The Rockets problems are far from isolated to the second unit. But after 15 games, with 10 at home, the bench has been just as far from a solution.

I agree with everything you said except for the communication part. This team needs to communicate together. If you meant cease communication with Kardashians, well I do agree with that.

Ugh, my FAVORITE Rockets team since the 04-05 squad. Those guys had HUGE HEART. Brooks, Scolandry, Battier's intelligent defense...everything!

That year was the championship that never was. Tmac quitting, Yao going down in game 3 of that series. They never rolled over though, we were 1 quarter away from beating the Lakers in game 7.

Man, what an amazing team, and amazing coach.

WOW, I miss that team so much. They are so tough minded. Why Morey traded them for a bunch of soft minded player?
