If you would have told me 3 years ago I would have wanted Jeremy Lin, Pablo Prigioni, and Tony Douglass more than Ty lawson...I would have slapped you in the face.
He was played 3 MINUTES. WTF do y'all expect him to do in 3 minutes??? Brewers trash ass was given 27 minutes though.
1) Fire Bickerstaff. 2) Have some serious conversations with Harden. It starts and ends with him. 3) Cut Lawson.
Lawson fan from his days back in Denver here. The hate for him here is ridiculous. His flaws from back in Denver have carried over (tendency to disappear and be too deferential), but he is absolutely not being put into a position to succeed here. I'm hoping that he's traded to a team where he betters fits for his own good.
2..... ? how can anyone fualt harden for what happened tonight ? HE IS OUR ONLY DAMN OFFENSE . no one moves off ball , no one else has the skills to find people. He put up 40 tonight . Two others put up low teens . Everyone else in single digits.
Why do you think he played just 3? Lack of effort. Sounds like he is killing the locker room as well. Just waive him already. Sure, Brewer is crap too. They both stink.
I thought it was a good trade at the time. You're crazy if you expected him to be this bad. Sad part is he's only part of the problem when he could have been that x-factor that could have turned this around. He still could be, but it's looking grim.
This is the risk you take with trading for a drunk. We didn't get that *good deal* on him for no reason. Can't hold the trade against anybody, it was risky but we needed it.
The extreme agreement in the poll was mainly due to it being almost zero risk. Morey getting Lawson's agent to agree to removing the guarantee on the 2nd year was big.
Exactly, the Rockets gave up nothing, and even received a 2nd round pick back AND if they keep being so bad, may end up keeping their lottery protected first round pick. They can either trade Lawson as an expiring or just walk away after this season.
The deal for Lawson was smart. The results haven't been what was hoped or expected (yet), but they got a player who upgraded the team's talent quite a bit for pennies on the dollar. If it doesn't work out, that's a shame, bad things happen sometimes...I'd hope Morey would make that sort of deal every time he has a chance, though.
His contract isn't the issue. The problem is now this entire season has been wasted. We need a solid PG to be a contender.. and now we're back at that same spot.
