While that's a decent 5, warriors would still have a better defensive 5. Bev is an overrated defender, he's about as effective as curry.

Paul George has been absolutely balling this year. Legitimate argument could be made he's been the 2nd best player in the league.

George seems to have a pretty good work ethic though. Also plays both offense and defense at elite levels.

I value PG13 and Kawhi Leonard more than Harden. Harden's been fool's gold to me since day one. Last year was amazing for him though, of course i'll give him that. But, he will never repeat a year like that again.

    A. Harden's game is drastically changed in the playoffs where fouls aren't called at the same rate. If he can't play his game when it matters, what's the point of having him?

    B. The guy has a terrible attitude.

    C. Zero defensive effort. That's worse than not having defensive ability, which he does. He's quick enough and strong enough to be a good defender, he just doesn't try or care.

I want humble all stars again like Hakeem and Clyde and even Otis Thorpe.

    Harden is better than PG13.

He is also better than Kawahi.

What is wrong with some of you? Can't wait to look back at this.

If George and Leonard's offensive game is off they still play defense. Not the same can be said for Harden.

PG is playing like an MVP candidate SO FAR this year and he's the main reason his team is high on the standings. His defence remains phenomenal but his offence has taken not one by two steps forward. I expect his shooting % to lower a bit but so far he looks like a clear cut top 3 player a superstar.

Harden is playing awful SO FAR this year. His defence has been plain attrocious his shooting has dropped but he takes even more FGA than last year. I expect at least his offence to come back to near last year's level.

    Who cares.....

Harden creates, Harden does everything for this team.

You are a joke if you think any of them bring more value.

Absolutely lack any bball knowledge if you really feel that way.

See last year? George/Kawahi will never have a season that sniffs that.

Harden will get it together. He has started slow last three years. I don't know why people have failed to notice that.

I think the injury really gave him a new perspective on his career and how much work you need to put into it. It definitely made him hungry this season.

Harden needs some kind of drastic perspective change as well... but I dunno what's going to give it to him.

PG is the main reason the Pacers are winning right now. And it's his offence first and his defence second. They have a weaker frontcourt than the Rockets had this year AND last year.
You must be a medium to know if PG will ever have a season like Harden's last year or not because right now it sure looks like he is.
Watch some Pacers games first and then talk.

I have league pass. I have seen some games.

He lacks the ball handling, hip flexibility to constantly get by guys. The same thing that will prevent Andrew Wiggins from being a superstar.

PG has a track record of starting the season off well. This is why this thread got brought up two years ago.

Eventually he will regress to the mean. I have a problem with guys who lack ball handling and rely on shooting.

    It will eventually regress.

The one guy is a sg the other guy is a sf. (who actually also plays some pf this year). You can't compare the ballhandling of a guard player to a forward! Obviously the guard player will have better handles than the forward. (in the case of Wiggins because it seems he and his team have decided the size advantage gives him a better defensive advantage over other sgs, his best position is sg, so his handles is much more important than PG).

So in your opinion a C who can't handle the ball good enough to bring it midcourt can never be a superstar or an MVP candidate?

Harden taking a leap into elite status last year? "Natural progression"

George taking a leap into elite status this year? "Just wait for the regression to the mean. He's going to regress. Regress I tell you! His jersey number should already tell you that!! Who goes from a higher number, 24, to a lower number, 13?? That's pure regression!"

Well in his defense, this has happened before with George. Two years ago, he started the season on fire, and everyone was talking about him for MVP. He ended up regressing on offense, and with it went all the MVP chatter. He has never shown the ability to consistently create his shot and shots for others, which is typically required of "superstar" players. I somewhat agree with him, as I am taking a wait and see if approach with Paul before proclaiming him as a top 5 player. He has always had the stuff on D, and had hot stretches on offense, but he's never been a guy you could consistently rely on offensively in the same regards as Lebron, Durant, Westbrook, Harden, Curry, etc.
