For the record, I am not a Lin-Only Fan. I was also a big Yao Ming fan... (race-aside, my favorite player in the NBA is Kevin Garnett)
There are no lofs left only fans of lin who are real fans of the rockets and other sports. Only the lohs like Tinsane asylum inmates curse this forum now.
nah bro, just own it. Jeremy Lin is one of my favorite players (not to watch, his playing style gives me indigestion) because he's Asian and a Christian. I proudly say that, I don't give a eff.
"No matter what Lin does, the kids won't follow his game plan. They are purposely losing to try to get Jeremy fired. They obviously hate Asian coaches. "
I love his style of play...also love that he is Asian and that he is from the Ivy League (although from a rival school)...but I don't care that he is Christian. Have been an NBA fan for decades and like lots of players. For whatever reason, Kevin Garnett has always stood out to me.
...with the caveat of those Harvard guys. Harvard guys might not have loved Yao. But the Asian Harvard guys loved Yao...
Bet accepted. I love watching you guys create fiction to white knight your hero You won't take it though
The Lin fans that popped up during his stay here didn't like Yao, they thought Rockets fans were racist and Yao doesn't count cause he wasn't "American Asian". They hated him cause we loved him. And they also said Lin had it worse than Yao. No he didn't. Yao had to overcome a cultural and language barrier and on top of that live up to the expectations of being #1 and playing for the Chinese team every summer. Yao had his loyal fans pop up here when he joined, same thing, never could criticize Yao for his faults. However, they were not classless liars as the Lin fans. They don't insult city , claim racism, or pretend to be 60 year old astros fans . they were Yao fans from China and they were proud of it. No such pride for Lin fans cause of their reputation on the basketball boards as classless freaks. Yao had a similar challenge with Steve Francis that Lin had with Harden. Francis was the franchise player until Yao proved that Yao was the franchise player. Lin proved that wasn't a starter for the Rockets and not tough enough for the playoffs.
brother, the thing I loved about Yao was that he really loved Houston and the fans and embraced the history of the Rockets. what a hero
All you need to do is show the gif of Lin taking away McHale's clipboard and actually drawing up a play. A non-iso play. Then the kids will buy in. Drawing up plays on behalf of the HOF McHale. But then again ... McHale kind of ... well, let's just say he's fired for a reason. And it's not recruiting or lack of clapping.
