Yao was great and all but this guy has mobility Yao could only dream of. I just wonder how the NBA will treat this big Slavic Man.. Start calling tick tacky fouls or have people foul him hard and get away with it. It's up to the NBA as to what kind of career this man will have.
Assuming this logic is even valid, he's going to have a hall of fame career. A competitive NYKnicks team is very good for business
LoL c'mon. "Prime" Garnett was 8 consecutive years averaging 22/12/5, with (blocks + steals) > turnovers (something I value in bigs). Hell, his freaking commercial was "20, 10, and 5, that's how I get down". Garnetts' prime, in itself, is a borderline hall of fame career. Just his prime. Not a single game more. You're saying he's already a taller version of a hall of fame career based on a scouting video? Just a wee bit aggressive, don't cha think? And this is coming from someone who thinks Porzingis is already a top 15-20 trade asset in the league. I've been an NBA fan for nearly 30 years. The last guy I could realistically forecast to win either a rebounding or blocked shots title while simultaneously shooting 40% from 3 was....well... no one. There is no comp. You know who he might be? The player OKC fans dreamed Ibaka could be. Or the Player Dirk would have been if he was tougher down low and on defense. Or the Player Larry Legend might have been if he was less of a 1) a basketball savant and 2) a shooting wizard.
Blast, can't edit, so double postage: Kevin Love was someone with the rebounding/3 combo. Maybe that's who he has the potential to be, Prime KLove with more blocks, much getter overall defense, and a better low-post game at the expense of some outside stroke.

He is very Yao-esque in the sense of how fluid he is for a big man. But he is simply better defensively in the 4 position at least cause he is so mobile for a 7'3 dude. That and he has a long freaking wingspan. Dude has touch and is cerebral, hope to see him do well
There are more of these guys. It's just that the culture and regulations of the NBA turn them away from considering the NBA. You examine all the scandals concerning officiating and it's pretty clear that the NBA needs to overhaul a couple things. How could any true basketball fan respect the way the NBA does business? **** em...
That's quite a conspiracy theory. You should tell Morey about these other guys like Porzingis. Maybe he can convince them to come over.

He is going to be damn good. Future star. Brilliant pick by Phil Jackson, despite what morons like Stephen A Smith said.
Stephen A Smith is an act. He has no basketball credibility. Sad ESPN lost Simmons and kept Stephen A. TNT will always dominate them, Kenny Smith doesn't have to yell to get his point across and Charles is naturally funny. No act.
Lakers passed on Porzingis. Muahahahahahahahahah. And every Rockets' fan should be happy about him being in the EC instead of standing between us and the Championship for the next 15 years.
KP, Paul George and Harden are my 3 favorite players to watch. KP is the most talented big man iv seen in quite some time. Call me crazy but I think he's going to be a lot better than Anthony Davis. He has that it factor were you know he's going to be getting leading teams to 50 win seasons very soon, my guess is next year. He's a unique talent I never thought I'd see a player so big with offensive game and mobility again after Yao. This guy has all the above and can be better. Yao was a low post monster more the traditional offensive center but KP is something else the league has never had a Porzingas, maybe Ralph Sampson? Him going to a team with Melo is awsome because they can contend in the east by next year with just them two and of course a few more shooters/defenders. Dare is say melo actually is going to look like a genius for staying in NYC over Chicago? I think so by as early as next year. The Knicks are going to be hell for anyone by the last 20 games this season KP is getting better game by game. 40 more games and he's honna be pushing top 20 player in the league imo.
