reg. Morey direction changes-

Yeah I agree that Morey should have changed directions, and I would have made the same moves if I was GM. I wanted Lawson as much as anyone, but boy was I wrong.

But then again, there is no reason why we can't learn from what we now know, and change directions again. I think Morey trusting what made him successful from the get go is the direction to take honestly. That sounds simple enough, but its not. He's got to be in charge of getting the guys that he trusts in, and where he's done his homework. All of the players he put together to build around T-Mac and Yao.... (with the exception of Artest) those weren't accidental high BBIQ, and high character players he put together.

Harden is going to be Harden, but Morey has shown he can control everything else around his stars to complement, and provide stability. I think we've learned alot about Harden more than anyone in this early season, and if there is some silver lining to the sucktatude it will hopefully be that Morey was able to learn this about Harden, and prepare for control in Harden's second act as a Houston Rocket.

What's the news story here - the authors basically says that based on Dwight's unhappiness with the direction, he may ask for a trade. Is that a news story.

Dwight is unhappy with the team's direction - of course, we are losing. So is everyone else on the roster. Did anyone think he was happy about it?

Dwight may ask for trade...but he may not - literally anyone on the team "may" ask for a trade but unless someone says it, you don't report that someone DEMANDS TO BE TRADED. That's just janky click baiting.

 

heh I'm not an Olympiacos fan. I "hate" them more than any here hate the Mavs. But they are definitely worms and criminals in their "fan"base too.

I think that Morrey should have been more all in and trade our first NOP pick for I.T. He has a good contract and he would be perfect off the bench. But that NOP pick was definitely projected to be in the lottery and so it would be an overpay. Anyway noone is perfect.
I don't know what lessons we can learn about Harden except that he can't or is willing to play off the ball. Because if there are other lessons that Morrey has learned about Harden...they are not fixable. Character and work ethic..These are things a GM has to live with he can't fix them if the player won't on his own.

Howard is the guy who's out there busting his ass trying to help the team win while other guys chuck up stupid shot after stupid shot, never box anyone out. Routinely get beat off the dribble and expose DH on the defensive side. Its 1 v 5 alot of times when Dwight is in there. Guys cant make an entry pass to save their lives. Still lazy bounce passing.

I wouldnt blame Dwight for asking out. Dude wants to win and his play shows that.
