Moe, I read your RB blog for this week and you nailed what I have down for my RBs. Im going West, Freeman, and Miller at the Flex. I dont think you can go wrong there, as they all have high floors and high ceilings, relative to their price. As of right now, Im sitting with: Carr/Stafford Freeman West WR WR Amendola Miller Gates/Ebron DEF Still working out the remaining two WR spots and the DEF with whatever money I have left.
Yeah I think West/Freeman will be chalky but I'm ok with it because I don't think Stafford/Megatron will be very highly owned, which is a contrarian stack I like. I do think the Raiders are better against the pass with Carrie back at CB, but I still like the volume the Lions should produce because they can't run on anyone. Still kind of on the fence about Amendola or Stevie Johnson. With Rivers having really nobody to go to except Stevie, Gates, and Woodhead, you have to like the opportunity there. Amendola will definitely see slot work most of the game, but if the TDs go to Gronk or Blount and the Pats build a lead, I don't see a very high ceiling at all. 7/70 looks a lot better with a TD attached to it. I wrote today that I like Cooper and Crabtree, but I think Crabtree has higher EV+ this week with Cooper facing Darius Slay. Also think you have to look at Mike Evans again just due to pure volume. No Vjax or ASJ means more force-feeding.
Yeah, I love Evans…leaning towards him. Regarding Amendola, I think you might be right. I'll have to think about that one again… In the mean time, just bc I had to set a lineup when I entered a league, I had Evans and Fitzgerald at the 2 receiver spots. Dont know why I didnt initially do this, but I can take out Fitz and replace him with Calvin (they're the same price). That will leave: Stafford Freeman West Megatron Evans Amendola or Stevie Ebron Miller Panthers
Yeah thats about in line with my lineups, although I may end up fading West, Miller or Freeman if inactives provide any juicier plays. Also thinking this could be a Woodhead week. I'm hoping the Raiders-Lions turns into a shootout or the Raiders get on them early and Stafford is just airing it out all day. Stevie Johnson may be the only Charger WR/TE who can go. Gates looks visibly hurt when he last played and Ladarius Green and Floyd are still injured as well.
This is around the time where I start going back and changing players, strategy, etc... If Sunday games started on Wednesday, I wouldnt have so much time to think about it. I think I want to go with Carr now...he's just been too good in the last month, so I feel like he is a safer bet over Stafford. Stafford has 6 games of about 16 points or less while Carr has 6 games of 22 points or more. I also want Fitzgerald in the lineup, as I think he is good for 25 points on Sunday. Pairing him with Evans would be a solid combo. I also want Stevie Johnson, Amendola, and Crabtree in the lineup.
Fanduel ownership percentages are out and West, Freeman, Crabtree, Amendola are all pretty chalky. I might pivot to Amari Cooper and Stevie Johnson. Curious as to why you think Fitzgerald is a good pick this week.
Couple reasons. First, Vegas predicts the Cardinals scoring almost 27 points, which is 2nd behind only the Patriots. Therefore, I'd expect at least 3, maybe 4 TDs for the Cardinals. Second, John Brown and Michael Floyd are gimpy right now. Floyd was having a good game last week, but then they pulled him because of a groin or hamstring issue (I forgot). Brown has barely been chugging along and doesnt seem to be getting healthier. The last 2 weeks, Fitz has had 15 targets and 11 targets (26 points and 22.4 points, respectively)...and I dont see that changing on Sunday. They'll lean on him again this week, so I think his floor is 20 points while his ceiling is in the 30s. EDIT: I do cash leagues mostly, so my strategy is a little different since I look for higher floors over higher ceilings. I think Fitz hits 3x value on a bad day, that's why I like him.
Yeah thats pretty solid reasoning. The Bengals do have good corners at every spot, but with Brown and Floyd both hobbled, it makes sense Fitz will try to work the middle stuff most of the day which means he'll have a pretty high floor.
I can't just sit around and not tinker with my lineup. It's annoying waiting until Sunday because I just play around with a million different combinations. The latest: Matt Stafford Lamar Miller C. West Calvin Johnson Mike Evans Larry Fitzgerald Antonio Gates Danny Amendola Panthers It'll change 10 times before Sunday.
True, going to keep an eye out for him. He practiced today, so it looks like he should be good to go. It's definitely subject to change.
Thoughts on going Bears DEF for $2,000 this week? Going up against Brock, they need just 6 points to hit 3X value. If you take that route, you can really load up in other areas. Kubiak offenses are prone to the pick 6.
Which combo seems more potent? Gates/Amendola or Ebron/Crabtree That's basically the final decision for my main lineup. The rest of the lineup is: Carr Murray West Evans Fitzgerald Megatron TE FLEX Bears
Yeah, that's what I'm going to roll with. I like Amendola bc he's playing on Monday (I don't know why I like that feeling so much)…but logically, I can't pass up on Crab.
I got schooled. My only chance to go positive for the weekend is a GPP where I took Cam…top 5750 get paid and Im sitting at 2000 with Amendola and Fitz left to play.
I'm gonna need decent days from Amendola and Gronk tomorrow to cash in gpps. I made up for an average NFL by placing 13/3450 in the NBA $5 sky hook. My lineup was Lillard Wes Matthews Amino Anthony Davis Plumlee D'angelo Russell Barnes Avery Bradley
Rough week. Banked too much on Det/Oak being a track meet and Carr/Cooper and Stafford/Tate let me down. That and Freeman and West getting hurt.
