The op always loves clapping...looks like JB has learned to do that well.

First home court loss to the Knicks in 11, count it, 11 years.

I'm confident we could have turned it around with McHale. DMo and Pap played so well for us early in the year last year. Ball movers shouldn't be underestimated. It's why GS is so good--the whole is greater than its parts. They could have saved his job. Also James tweaking his shooting motion from the free throw line has had ill effects on his FG%.

McHale knew how to work the refs in the playoffs. He had respect due to his Championship experience. He could sit a star player down if he's not playing well. The problem isn't the coach. It's a shame we didn't recognize that. Even if we ended up as the 7th, 8th seed in the playoffs with McHale we would have warmed up by the end of the year. Now, the foundation is shaken. The internet makes it hard for teams to be patient. The only saving grace is they promoted from within so there is some continuity and I like JB. It reminds me of when Rudy T took over for Don Chaney. Although McHale reminded me of Rudy too...

    We'll see how it goes...

"Minute details". So how he looks is one of your "minute details". How he walks is one of those "minute details" you promised? How he talks according to your basketball "knowledge", will tell us?

Eagerly waiting for additional "minute details".

We have cheerleaders, we need someone who can win.

JB has shown no leadership qualities.

The team does respect or fear him, they are not held accountable by him.

Very wise points. This forum has shown complete disrespect to McHale from day one through the WCF.

I have to wonder how much effect a bunch of idiot whiners has had on Les's decision making process.

Les does not strike me as a knee jerk reactionary...but what is the logic of replacing McHale with a rookie understudy this early in the season?

I hope we get "the rest of the story".

Found a new pic of Coach! I spent a long time checking the minute details with a magnifying glass. Here you can see he's way better than McFail because he's using psychology like on his face to the ref guy, going: "Do you not know this team just cut off the head of last year's sucky team, and this year it's all about winning!" I'm pretty sure the ref changed the call after that.

I think its becoming pretty obvious that the coach wasn't the primary issue. But it may turn out to be a necessary precursor to what does need addressing. And that is getting everyone on the same page and executing. Removing a part of the old chemistry (McHale) makes it a bit easier to get the rest to coalesce.

Seems JB is hesitant because its his first chance so he won't make any balsy moves or hold guys as accountable. Thats what i predict his problem to be. We ultimately need a vet coach.

Pissed me off when Phil faked a chronic back issue to justify the throne they put out there for him. Biggest ego in sports history. Pfft.

FTW Rockets FTW has been on an anti-McHale campaign for awhile now. We get it. McHale was fired and you still can't let it go. I'm glad that you picked 4 random photos and that they totally proved your point. Congrats.

It's not that I'm even defending McHale. I was shocked that we fired him as early into this season as we did, but I understand. Bickerstaff is now 1-3 and the Rockets still look pretty pathetic. I'm still hoping the Rockets turn it around. They are way too talented to be as bad as they have been so far this season. But maybe, just maybe, it had a lot more to do than just the coaching.

Dude, it's a huge improvement, instead of losing by a lot it's only a few points!!! Oh... Right... the Rockets still lost the game, where's the column for wins that are close/better effort?? Hopefully close games turn to wins soon, but we'll see, I don't think this is quite the turnaround everyone wanted, team has more issues than the coach and the rest of the NBA and media are laughing and can't wait for the next decision by management.

This is probably one of the most disappointing starts for the Rockets in years, at least in 95 when they were playing poor they had won in 94 of course Drexler helped change it... but if we got a Drexler like player by the deadline we wouldn't even make the 6th seed if this **** continues. This tean plays like they already won something and you don't get **** for just going to the WCFs, oh right we're building something, can you let the team know that??
